About the author

Jill Gascoine was born in south London. Educated at Tiffin Girl's School, she was taught acting, singing and dancing at Italia Conti, and joined the theatrical profession at the age of fifteen. She is well known for the television series The Gentle Touch and also starred in C.A.T.S. Eyes. She has two sons from her first marriage, and now lives with her second husband, actor Alfred Molina, in West Sussex and Los Angeles.
