I received a copy from Booksprout and I'm willingly leaving a review -I couldn't relate to Kaley. Too much drama, too much contradictions, unwilling to be helped. She also had too many assumptions concerning how Anthony grew up and she was way off base. -Anthony went slow (because she did ask for that), wanting to help her solve her problems, communicate like an adult, and take care of her, be it protecting or feeding her. -The story is mostly about Kaley and her past trauma (might be a trigger for some), not about what's going on the stage where other people do scenes for others to view. There are some bits about Anthony's finding his muse; he's a painter. -It was so inappropriate of Sierra to put Kaley in front of knives, knowing she had a legitimate fear of them. Max should have been told about this since he is the club's owner and Sierra's too. -I really liked Noah and I hope he gets his own story. Clara is a great grandmother and Nugget, her dog, is a sweetheart.
It’s all about trust…especially when it comes to love. Wow, this book packs an emotional punch. Marie Tuhart writes sexy romance but don’t be fooled into thinking it’s all about kink. Remove that part and you have a community of people who genuinely care about one another. When one person is in trouble, they rally to show their support. Our heroine, Kaley, is a novice who is suffering from trauma from her past. Anthony is a dom who is willing to do anything to make Kaley happy, even if it means burying his preferred kink. When her trigger resurfaces, can they overcome it together?
It all starts with the characters. Marie Tuhart takes her time and lets the reader discover what Kaley and Anthony are all about. The characterizations are so intricately done, readers connect with the characters. We’re talking deeply connected with plenty of emotional arcs.
The descriptive narration is deep as well. Every emotion, every scene, is detailed beautifully. The reader becomes a part of the story. I don’t know much about BDSM, just the basics, yet I learn so much about the intricacies of the lifestyle through Marie Tuhart’s books. It’s honestly portrayed and makes for an unforgettable read.
If you’re a sexy/steamy romance reader, you’ll thoroughly enjoy Edged. I couldn’t put it down and you won’t either.
Disclaimer: I received a copy from the author in the hopes I'd review it.
This is the first book in the Wicked Sanctuary series I’ve read, in fact the first book by this author at all and I can safely say I’ll be coming back for more. I loved the way the relationship between Anthony and Kaley was handled in this novel. Too often stories involving the BDSM lifestyle go the “full immersion” route, even when the MFC is a complete novice. Now I’m not knocking that approach at all, and love to read those books too, but the way Anthony introduced Kaley to the lifestyle in small increments made the whole experience somehow more intimate. Just look at their first scene together, it was so sensual, yet they were fully clothed! I loved how they communicated inside and outside the club too and it was refreshing to see a Dom who wasn’t all about control ALL the time. These two had so much baggage to overcome in order to be together and I loved how the author took the time to show how they slowly came to terms with their individual traumas to enjoy being in each other’s lives. Though many people may be put off by stories set in the BDSM community, there is a sense of family, love and support at Wicked Sanctuary that you don’t find just anywhere. Kaley and Anthony, on their own, each have enough emotional baggage and traumas to sink an ocean liner. Together? Where all their triggers rub up against one another? Well, this pair have a very steep hill ahead of them to make it work. One of the things I love so much about this series, is the reminder of just how important communication is, no matter the type of relationship. Because when things are going right for our leading couple, it’s because they’re sharing their thoughts and fears with each other. When it's all going straight to the underworld in a handbasket, it’s pretty much because one or the other of them shut down and stopped communicating. I adored these two together and the very careful way the author showed them working through the challenges they encountered. I’m so in love with this world that I don’t want to let go of these characters, and I already can’t wait to dive into the next book. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
Kaley meets Anthony when she goes to pick up his grandmother's dog for grooming. He is a cutting edge artist and the sparks fly between them. He makes sure they cross paths more often and they even meet at the club while she is tending bar there. He is a Dom and it was entertaining how they worked through issues and gained so many friends, like a really large family. They were their best support system once secrets were revealed. Loved all the characters and the sassy banter and caring natures were terrific. Great personalities and backup when things went off track kept them all grounded. The Sub Club definitely had each other's backs, too. Terrific addition to a wonderful series. Who will be next?.

Both our hero and heroine are happy in their respective lives, not looking for anything like love. But Cupid has other ideas and when they meet, they find they just might want something more after all.
This is book seven of the series, but it is written as a standalone. No prior reading is required.
This is an erotic romance with lots of different elements to it. The story is well written and easy to read with a pair of nicely developed characters. The hero and heroine has real chemistry, but both are a bit gun shy. Fortunately they find a way to move past that and open up, then things turn really fun. I quite enjoyed our couple's journey and I am definitely looking forward to more from this author.
Highly recommended.

I received a free copy of this book via the author, and I'm willingly leaving an honest review. I love reading about the Doms from Wicked Sanctuary. This is artist Anthony and his grandmother's dog groomer, Kaley's story. Anthony is the absolute perfect Dom for a new sub. His patience, kindness, and understanding are exactly what Kaley needs to slowly learn to trust that he would never intentionally do anything to hurt her. Anthony has never had a sub before and often needs advice from the other Doms about how to get Kaley to give him a chance! Fantastic storyline, wonderful characters, and absolutely loved the HEA.
This one is one for the records of over the top steam! I fell in love with Kaley as she goes about life with a focused purpose on where she wants her career to go while enjoying all that Wicked Sanctuary has to offer. Kaley noticed Anthony from afar, but never thought she would get in his crosshairs until she knocks on the door of the house of her favorite customer and Anthony opens the door as he is helping his grandmother recover. You have to love Anthony’s determination to get Kaley to be his painting muse and a whole lot more. Will Kaley be able to get beyond her past to let Anthony in? You have to read to find out and don’t expect to put the book down until you turn the last page!
This was a wonderful story. I love this series by Marie Tuhart. I can't get enough of her stories. I loved the interactions between Anthony and Kaley. Kaley has a busy life trying to make her company a success. She meets Anthony at his grandmother's house. He is instantly captivated by her and wants her to model for him. She says no but he won't give up. When he discovers that she goes to Wicked Sanctuary, he becomes more intrigued. Will they get a happily ever after together?

Edged is the 7th book in the Wicked Sanctuary series. While characters from previous stories have cameo appearances, Anthony and Kaley's romance stands alone. It's a story of overcoming past hurts and trauma, as well as learning to trust - themselves and each other. They are both very likeable, genuinely good people and I greatly enjoyed them coming out of their shells and finding their HEA.

Good story and decent characters. It bugged me that Anthony didn't offer to pay Kaley for her time to sit as a model-- it would be one thing for her to sit for free if, say, she was a client commissioning a portrait and paying him for said potrait, but for him to ask her (and by extension, other people) to model for free and then potentially make thousands of dollars from selling the paintings... not cool.
Each story I read in this series, I say this is my favorite couple, or my favorite hero. It just keeps getting better and better. Anthony is soooo patient, so awesome. Kaley is willing to face her fears. Together, they can do anything, and his painting her… Wow. Loved the story. Another high recommend from me.

I really liked how Anthony and Kaley finally overcome their pasts while exploring the new relationship between them. The support they received from members of Wicked Sanctuary is valuable as is the support from his adoptive grandmother. I like how they support each other's dreams.
Kaley and Anthony grew up on opposite sides of the tracks, but it is through their own determination and resiliency that shaped who they became. I loved how they blended their lives together and found happiness, despite the people they encountered that continued to try and force them back into a preconceived box. Tuhart has written another heated romance with fantastic characters.
Anthony and Kaley. Shes a dog groomer. Hes an artist. He opens the door of her favorite client. She knows who he is. He wants her as his model. She has traumas. They come together to be pulled apart. Loved this story of how they faced their challenges.

Anthony and Kaley story and their journey through bad and good and a lot was happening in Wicked Sanctuary, BDSM club. Don’t expect to much” scenes” from club as this book is about more personal relationship. The story has some drama, angst and hot, sweet romance.
