Inspiring small essays that delight, encourage, and teach. Many stories are included in these teachings making this easy to read and understand while at the same time providing the reader with a deeper meaning. What better way to lean about Buddhism than to read examples of how it should be practiced? This book contains great illustrations of Humanistic Buddhism in action. Between Ignorance and Enlightenment is and inspiring collection of articles by Venerable Master Hsing Yun which were originally written for this daily column in the Merit Times newspaper. The column has been a great success and readers have often requested that it be make into a book of its own. Venerable Master Hsing Yun states, ¡§ Ignorance and enlightenment lie in just a thought! A thought of ignorance many cause sorrow and pain while an inspiration of enlightenment can bring out the sun of wisdom¡¨ We hope this book can lead readers from the bitterness of confusion to the sweetness of clarity in enlightenment through the process of self-reflection.
