Most people hate it, but everyone has to clean. So why not do it right? This guide takes readers through the house, room by room, demonstrating how to clean each one thoroughly and efficiently—even the bathroom and the garage. Plus, it provides an A-to-Z treasure trove of hints to make cleaning even easier.
Some good suggestions that break down the how of cleaning: not just what products to use, but how to use them, what order to clean things in, how often, etc. Definitely leaves me wondering how much time the author thinks the average person has to spend cleaning each week.
This book would have gotten 5 stars from me however the author focused on green cleaning only and that makes this book fall a bit short for me (and I'm sure many other readers too) because I like to use a variety of cleaners, and while I did get a few great "green cleaning" tips that I am using in my everyday cleaning around the house (who would have thought you could do so much with vinegar!?!?) I would have liked some tips and ideas that employed the use of every day cleaners like bleach, pine sol, ammonia etc. I did find the book very useful overall. I often refer to it for certain specific cleaning situations. I also really liked how it gave u tips on time management and a cleaning schedule so your house is consistently clean day to day and your cleaning jobs are broken up day to day so you don't have as much to do during your "big cleaning day" each week. I have employed the tips from this book in my everyday life and find my life less stressful and my house a lot cleaner.
