Nice introduction to this often confusing aspect of management. Some of the best bosses I have ever worked for knew when to delegate and support; but this is a lesson that is often not taught. Some of the worst bosses I have ever worked for did not understand how to delegate - or delegated AFTER the project/problem had failed - just to put the blame on someone else.

I thought this book has helpful and interesting ideas about management and about how one of the very top most responsibilities for a manger is delegating tasks. In delegating is the essence of managing. If you can not manage the skills, wants, needs, and possibilities of your staff then you are not managing your staff at all, this is exactly what delegating is and means.

This has helpful resources in it suchs as worksheets, true false questions and other such helpful things such as case studies. Even if you are not working through the book writing in it etc it still holds a lot of useful information and is easy to understand. It also gives you confidence in the decisions you make as a manager, and shows that even if you are not 100% confident because you don't know technical things about the running of the company / business / organisation this is not your job (although knowing a bit surely helps) your job is to manage people (your human resources) to get the job done, on time, on budget, and within the organisations objectives. You make yourself look good you make the team look good, you make the business look good.

Highly recommend if you are starting into management.
