A must have quick and complete book of ancient sexuality and mythology over the eons. Just reading a page or two always makes me see my day in a new way.

An impressively lucid explanation of the development of the symbology behind ancient and modern religions, ceremonies, holidays, astrology, and more. There's plenty of depth and insight here, and while the style is appreciably concise, it is not dry or academic by any means. There are all kinds of fascinating details on the strange rituals, beliefs, and customs of ancient cultures. The common threads that run through the world's religions are revealed and traced. Truly an excellent book.
