Years of Bible study and research by a specialist in hydrology and geology have resulted in an excellent commentary with a scientific approach to the book of Revelation.

This was a phenomenal work by Dr. Henry M. Morris. I am by no means a prophetic reader of the Bible, by any stretch of the imagination. But as I mention in my writings, prophecy IS an important aspect of understanding the word of God. This book is well written and well researched and brings forth much of what was stated and foretold in the Old Testament and the Gospel writings of what Jesus had spoken to those around Him. If you are reading the Bible and you get to the Book of Revelation, Dr. Morris will help you to understand what it is talking about, This is a must have book by those who ardently study the Bible. A definite well worth the time to read and to study right alongside the Bible and other prophetic books of the Bible.
Utilized this book in a Bible Study on Revelations. It complimented our study very nicely in verse-by-verse explanations. Tied lots of scriptures together and painted a great picture of the apocolyptic writings of Revelations and pointed to our great need for redemption through Jesus. Excellent commentary to use as a resource for studying!
Love his verse by verse expositional teaching. Scientific yet devotional and practically applicable to my life. Best commentary ever on the Revelation of Christ.
“I had this book for a long time and only recently finished reading it. I like the late author and greatly enjoyed his devotions through the ministry of the Institute for Creation Research. His book "The Genesis Record" is my favorite commentary on the book of Genesis. This one is very good also but not as good as the one on Genesis in my opinion. What I like most about this book is the literalist position that Dr Morris took. As a scientist, Dr. Morris is usually careful to back up his position with facts and when he gets into an area that is a little speculative, he is fairly careful to make that obvious. If you are a pre-millennialist, you will probably enjoy reading this for the most part. 1-7-11. ” Larry K wrote this review Saturday, January 8, 2011.
Very good book on Revelation. It is a commentary and ought to be treated as a commentary. Many things were repeated because of the fact that the teaching and verses were repeated in different ways but the same teaching was still there. I do not recommend reading through this book as you would any other book as it would appear to be very boring because of the repeating of the truths that you read earlier. There is a Scripture Index and Subject Index at the end which is very helpful in finding and explaining verses. It is premillennial and pre-tribulation rapture which the book holds to. Henry Morris is very knowledgeable in science and does a very good job explaining some of the difficult verses which are hard to understand.
