Wow... I can hardly believe that I finally have a copy of this book, after almost 20 years of searching; and in almost perfect condition, too!!! This is a book that I have seen listed in more bibliographies than I could possibly remember, and which has more than once been described as "indispensable" by historians of Indochina and its wars. That description is absolutely correct. Much of the information within it is unobtainable elsewhere, and in addition, Mr. Lancaster's perspective on the events recounted is valuable in itself due to the fact that very few (almost none in the English language) eye-witness accounts of these events are available. A valuable and well written book. I am extremely happy to finally own a copy (Thanx, Mother!!!)...
