A self-made woman, from the Sorority Halls of a UT University to the school of the Hard Knox, Miss Dez Marie has attempted, withdrawn, applied, failed, applied again, passed and made the Dean's List in both the Classroom as well as the street smart world she had no choice but to take notes on and go above and beyond the E for Effort.

In 2005 the young Dez Marie received her first degree. A bachelor's in Biology. Working her way through the deep, dark, corners of addiction and the LGBT night life. Coming out at the age where she had to struggle to make way, be extra loud to get heard and claw her way through the politics, socio-economics and social views and stigma put onto the Gay community.

By 2011 she was a Master Domme as well as graduated top of the class from the Liberal Arts program at her University. She notched a place on the Dean's list once again with her Bachelor's in Psychology with a concentration in Family Counseling.

After being in and out of sobriety and falling off the wagon, Miss Marie decided that it was up to her to make a change that needed to be made if anything was to be accomplished the way she'd seen it so many times in her head.

With self-help instruction, much reading and a caring therapist, she found herself meditating, writing and venting through words. All the things her secret life consisted of that she could not tell her best friends, she wrote down in Journals. Filling them up quickly and realizing that what she really had at her hands were the answers to so many issues that people deal with on an everyday basis.

The journals were converted into what she thought was a manuscript. This was not the case, but the good-hearted editor she'd been reading about online gave her a chance at the PUBLISHED world, bringing about the beautiful, master-minded and based on true life event, Sugar Whipped.

She is now on international sites as well as over 60 bookstores nationwide. She continues to journal as part of her everyday therapy, and the words that become sentences become the very novels you can pick up anytime.
