Albert Pinkham Ryder: Painter of Dreams

Rate this book
Another quality piece of work published by Harry cloth over boards with a sewn binding. 256 pp. 4.25 pounds. Color and b&w illustrations throughout. Five appendices, end notes, bibliography, chronology, index.

Includes a detailed discussion of Ryder's life as well as his work. Topics covered include dating Ryder's paintings, Ryder forgeries, a selection of Ryder letters, interviews & reminiscences, Ryder as poet.

Of particular importance is a ten page chapter by Sheldon Keck on Ryder's (notoriously idiosyncratic!) technical practices as a painter.
