Rate this book
The Compton Creek Mosquito Abatement District is an independent special district committed to protecting the public’s health, safety, and welfare from mosquito-borne diseases. In fact, we have been performing this service and protecting public health since 1927, when the residents of the City of Compton realized that mosquitoes were having an adverse effect on their lives and were elected to form the District and alleviate the problems with mosquitoes. Now covering 12.5 square miles and protecting close to 125,000 citizens, the District is funded through tax dollars and provides free services for mosquitoes and all of the other related items involved in mosquito control.
