Many picture books have a subtitle. The cover of "Kazam's Magic" bears a slogan instead:

"Make reading a success the very first time!"

So, it isn't enough to publish a book for brand new readers? Once I open the covers, will a judge pop out?

OKAY, THIS GOODREADS REVIEWER HAS SURVIVED THE ORDEAL, THE 4 STORIES

Clearly the book is well meaning, with a too-high percentage of the pages being bright magenta, and crammed with instructions to parents. If I didn't know better, I would have called this book "aggressively interactive." Not my favorite thing.

However, there are four stories. Happy endings and even some humor are suggested.

On the chance that this book possesses a rare magic that allows some readers to "succeed the very first time"? Sure, I'll gamble FIVE STARS of hopefulness.
