Gage Barrett Aka Ricochet Struggled with PTSD since his Seal days, something traumatic happened while he was serving in Afghanistan with his best friend and ever since then he has more or less been spiraling out of control

In the previous installment (Riptide’s Book) Once again Ricochet found his self in a similar situation….. unfortunately, this time he really seemed to have spiraled out of control even more with his depression and with his PTSD

My heart broke for Ricochet as he struggled with His choices…….. Ricochet decides to go visit his twin sister and her two small children to see if he could put his life back into place somehow……

Jordan, has been on a long hiatus from men after her previous relationship

Jordan was pretty much satisfied with her life the way it was right now, she lived simple and easy. She went to work, hung out with her family, and hung out with her best friend and Neighbor Gwen and her two young kids.

Let me be honest here and say neither one of these two are in the right headspace to be dating…….. I don’t want to sound cruel or insensitive but both of them had their own mental baggage to deal with ……. Now with that said I really enjoy the fact that each one of them seems to know how to break down the other persons walls slowly but surely

Now I must warn you , if you have not read the first 3 books in the series Please, Please go on and do so this is not a standalone book.

I received an ARC and this is my honest review.

Ricochet has got to be the one who hid his kind heart the best. With the little sneak peeks we got of him while reading the books before his I swear he would have been the biggest grouch. But the way he just opened up to Jordan and let her heal him without her even knowing, was so heart warming.

He decided enough was enough, he hated the person he had become, hated that his pass was controlling his life. He saw the sunshine she would bring to his life and held on to it with no hesitation.

Definitely recommend this read.

LOVED IT!!!

I cannot express how much I love Ricochet and Jordan’s story. My heart broke for Ricochet as he struggled with himself but the way he starts fighting harder when he meets Jordan is EVERYTHING!! Their dynamic is swoon worthy and who doesn’t love a man with the touch-her-and-die vibes?!

I’m a huge fan of all the Viking MC men (in all the chapters) but every book of the Tucson chapter makes me love them a little bit more and Ricochet is no different.

We know that the men in the Tucson chapter come from military backgrounds and that carries its own stories alone however it’s no surprise that those stories aren’t necessarily positive and a lot of them have some form of trauma or ptsd and Ricochet is no different. I love the way this book sympathetically explored his PTSD in a respectful and endearing way not shoving him towards therapy and announcing him cured but instead showcasing his triggers, his nightmares and his recovery in a way that makes you understand his actions and see the reasoning behind his behaviours. Then showing real ways of managing and coping - not always successfully but never alone thanks to his MC family, his twin sister and his new found love interest who also suffers with a past trauma.

It wasn’t just Ricochet’s behaviour that endeared me to love the Tucson chapter but the way the author has created a brotherhood and how they talk and treat each other despite their big, strong, scary and dangerous biker appearance is wonderful. Showing the importance behind men talking about their feelings and mental health.

It wouldn’t be a Viking MC book without a strong woman and we get two in this book. Ricochet’s twin sister Gwen - who is Ricochet’s safety outside of the MC and a kind and strong woman wearing a smile for her kids despite her ex being a horrible person who cares more about himself than anyone and his hatred for MC’s outweighs any love he could ever feel for his ex or children. And Jordan - Ricochet’s new love interest, his Sunshine and someone who despite her fear of violence steps up to protect those she loves and cares about.

This book is full of heart warming moments, laughs, flirtation and lots of sexual attraction and when they steamy scenes happen - lord hand me a fan!

A brilliant book and a great addition to the series.

I received a free copy of this book but this review is entirely my own honest opinion.

💚 Ricochet!!

I was so happy we were done with the Cult chapter in this series, it just 😠 me off! I adore this group of men and the women who fall into their world, catch their eyes and their hearts! I love how these men are all veterans and who have found a Brotherhood outside of the military. PTSD is a serious issue and this book deals with it more than others have in this series. My heart hurt for Ricochet and ultimately the thought of other men and women who've fought for our freedom experiencing this same guilt and torture daily.
All these books have a single theme... Brotherhood, finding love, protecting your family of both blood and of choice and finding your other half! Low angst, some drama and some super spicy scenes🔥🔥!! Read in order for full understanding of each of these amazing characters and their story! Sad Smokehouse isn't out until. November... Oh well something to look forward to! Already on my tbr list!✌

Open your eyes

Ricochet/Gage and Jordan/Sunshine. The nickname for Jordan was perfect with how she helped Ricochet and his PTSD. The focus on family was clearer than ever and the two new families were fascinating with their dynamics and uniqueness. The danger was from an unexpected source, but craftily built up a bigger new problem and danger for the MC. The danger and violence that occurred showed the protective nature of the MC at a new level. The ending was sweet and has me more excited for the upcoming stories and those brothers to get their HEA.

Ricochet: Vikings MC Tucson chap. Book 4

Ricochet has anxiety and ptsd from the marines, but after the last mission with the MC group he was in very bad shape. Ricochet stayed at his sister Gwen,s she was his twin, but her neighbor Jordan as soon as she met Ricochet they both felt a connection. Jordan didn't realize how bad Ricochet was psychologically, but they both felt a connection.
Now i finally am going to read Smokehouse story book 5.

Ricochet and his Sunshine

There were so many emotions in this book. My heart hurt for the pain Ricochet was dealing with on a daily basis, due to PTSD. Jordan was emotionally unavailable because of an awful break up that gave her, her own form of PTSD. I felt the chemistry from the start between those 2. I really enjoyed the journey they took to be together ❤️

Where can I find my own biker

This fourth book in the Vikings MC Tucson Chapter is just a hot and panty melting as the first three. Although a little darker but as always I laughed and cried with the characters. These men love their families and women with a fierceness that rivals no other. If only there was that kind of love in the real world.

Oh man. This one had me feeling all of the things!! I knew my heart would break from Ricochet’s story but how everything unfolded had me ugly crying. Plus how freaking cool is it that Jordan and her family are into falconry? I was absolutely eating up every single hint that was being dropped about future relationships. Stellar work!

Great book

I really enjoyed this book. I'm glad Ricochet got his book and that his PTSD was not glossed over but was a big part of the storyline. It is hard to deal with but very real. Besides that, the book was full of fun and awesome family and friends. Loved it

First Impressions
Ricochet is the fourth installment in the "The Vikings MC: Tucson Chapter" and this is Ricochet books. Ricochet is the one on the brotherhood who is struggling with PTSD from his time in the military. We see the results of trauma in this book, and the after effects of wartime and what it does to our veterans. We see a sexy but sweet romance that is wrapped in so many swoony bows I didn't want to let go of this story. It was captivating and real and stunning and had me kidnapped in this writing that just pulled me so quickly within this story.

First Line
My breath hissed out as the cold water sent shivers racing down my back.

The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Ricochet
The Heroine: Jordan

Summary
Ricochet is still feeling the after effects of the trauma from taking down the cult where he was forced to kill young teens to save his brother and its still haunting him and not feeling good enough for his brothers so he escapes to stay with his sister and her kids. They are the only one's that can keep him centered. That is until.....he meets his sister's friend and next door neighbor......Jordan. Jordan has her own type of trauma from a past boyfriend who treated her wrong and it almost cost her family greatly. She works as a Falconer at a wildlife preserve. There is an instant connection that forms between Ricochet and Jordan. But can Jordan and Ricochet let go of the demons of the past to embrace their future?

What I Loved
Ricochet was so heartfelt and poignant and I had so many moments where I was falling so hard for these characters. I loved the instant relationship, that they don't deny what they feel. I know some readers aren't fans of it.....but I ADORED it. I liked that our heroine was the sweet next door girl type as that is what Ricochet needed. We see that they do both mistakes and they both make their apology and I liked that it was no nonsense and not overblown grovels because it was so refreshing. If anyone should have done a big apology it was the heroine, she overreacts but I love how her father sets her straight. There is some great levels of suspense within the story when I didn't expect it lol This duo author pairing definitely has kept me on my toes that is for sure. And I am all for it. Seeing how strong these two become and unified in their relationship delivered on all fronts for me and I can't wait to see what happens next. Now I want to clarify these feel contemporary with morally grey slightly alpha heroes. I wouldn't consider this dark romance.

What I Struggled With
Not much.....what kept this from a five star is how the heroine overreacted, I felt like she should have done a better grovel than she did.

Overall View
Ricochet was a intense, keeping you on the edge of your seat MC romance that delivers plenty of heart, smexy times and thrills to capture your heart!!!

Steam/Spice Explanations

Simmering cup of tea---soft warm touches and light intimacy
Warmin' by the fire- a medium level of sexual tension, a balance of sexual and emotional intimacy, lighter on the details in the sexual moments.
Steamin' up the room -the sexual content is more explicit in the language and tone, heavier amount of sexual scenes.
Blazing fire to the building-The prime focus is the sex scenes, scorching hot, and could burn one. Less focus on the emotional intimacy to the relationship.

I got the privilege of reading this for an ARC, and I’m in love. Either way I planned on reading this book, Ive had its release date in my calendar since it was announced. How can I even put this book into words. I devoured this book within a couple hours, I could not put it down. We saw Ricochet some in the last book Riptide, and I had expectations on what to expect going in. This book blew those expectations out the window.

Ricochet “ Gage” is fighting some demons from his past, and goes home to stay with his twin sister Gwen and her two kids. When he arrives he meets his sisters neighbor/ best friend Jordan and let me tell you sparks FLY! Throughout the book we learn more about Ricochets past in the military ( former Navy seal) and the trauma he had to go through. Ricochet is the perfect mix of overprotective, dirty talking hot tatted biker! Throughout the book I thought I knew what was gonna happen next, but Cathleen surprised me. I could never have guessed some of the things we see in this book, but it only made it better. The way Cathleen makes you connect with her characters, she really makes you wish they were all real and in front of you. This book has everything from smut to humor, action and adventure and of course a founded family. We got to take a peak into the past characters life’s and what they have been up to lately which I love. I wish this book was longer, but I’m also counting down till the next book.

If you haven’t read her previous MC books please do, you won’t regret it. I can’t wait to get my hands on the physical book. I hope you all fall in love with her characters just like I did 💛

I have fallen hard for Ricochet, the vulnerability of this tough (on the exterior) biker and his heart breaking past, have made him my favourite so far in this amazing series of books.

Ricochet has his found family, the Vikings MC, and though they are always there for each other, it's his twin sister and her kids that he turns too when he is in danger of his spiralling state of mind. He needs the space her home provides and the distraction of his niece and nephew.

What Ricochet (Gage) was not expecting, was the distraction of his sister, Gwen's, very hot neighbour, Jordan.

Jordan has been on a long hiatus from men after a damaging previous relationship and she is not ready to let a gorgeous, tattooed biker into her life, particularly as he's her best friends brother!

There is an immediate attraction though and Ricochet is one determined hunk of a man.

Ricochet and Jordan both have huge mental baggage and its wonderful to see how they break each others walls down and tentavely begin the founding of a life together. It's not easy for them though, there's violence (not between them), the biker lifestyle, Gwen's douche ex husband, misunderstandings and more.

There is also hot 🔥 action, an immediate attraction, friendship, love, family, lots of humour and an HEA.

I was lucky enough to have an early review copy of Ricochet and I can thoroughly recommend it.

I gave this book 5 stars because this story deals is very well written and addresses mental health issues (PTSD) within the military. This story had a lot of laughable moments, it had wholesome moments, it had dark and as well as hopeful moments. Ricochet is very big into his family and does everything for his real family and chosen family it's the one thing he holds true and dear to his heart. Ricochet character development is great from being dark to being able to see the light again. Jordan has her own trauma to deal with from her past but her growth is amazing as well. This book gives everyone who suffers from PTSD hope. The only thing I didn't like was the fact they used the MC and Jordan to help him heal I wished it went another route with it. Yet the little moments he shared showed insight to how connect they really where with one another. If you have not read the first 3 books in the series please go on and do so this is not a standalone book. Ricochet is now my favorite character with a book. I hope you enjoy the story as much as I did. Please read the Trigger warnings for this book.

It’s not secret that I love this Viking MC series, Cathleen Cole has me coming back for more EVERY SINGLE TIME!

✅ Ricochet was very endearing. In the other books we know that he struggles with PTSD. We got to delve further into his background and understand why he is the way he is. The author made sure that whilst learnt more about his struggles, it wasn’t brushed aside or “healed” as soon as he met his love.

✅Both Ricochet and Jordan struggle with mental baggage. Throughout this journey we see them both break their walls down, whilst being respectful and patient!

✅ Full of heart warming moments right from the start, laughs, flirtation and lots of sexual tension/attraction.

✅ Honestly Toxic and Butcher kill me😂 I love them and that morning after the party I was 💀. Honestly I need their stories next!!!

🏍️ Immediate attraction
🏍️ Action

I really enjoyed this story! I've been wondering what Ricochets past was for awhile from reading the other books. Ricochet has been trapped in his own personal Hell for a long time. Suffering from PTSD, guilt and depression. After the wild ending of Riptide, he decides it's time to go visit his family and see if he can work through his problems. What he didn't expect was to meet Jordan, his own personal sunshine!
I really love Jordan! She's got her own issues to work through but she has an amazing job and I loved her family. Ricochet and Jordan are perfect for each other. She removes the dark clouds from his life and he helps her learn to trust again
This story can get dark at times as Ricochet is dealing with his PTSD and flashbacks but it's an amazing story!
I highly recommend!

Ricochet a Jordan

A touching story about love while living with the after effects of war on our serviceman.

Cole & Frank have dealt with the intricacies of PTSD and trauma with such delicacy while staying true to the heart breaking reality.

As always, the characters are multifaceted and the love story authentic without loosing that romance. The side characters are interesting, adding to the story without overshadowing they key players.

I can’t wait to read Smokehouse (next release) but I would really love to see what happens with Static, Gwen, Kit, Hellfire and definitely Lockout!

Thank you for writing such compelling and enjoyable books. I can’t wait for more.

Another Fabulous Read

This is one of the very best series I have ver read. I love the fact that they are stand alone but build on each other. I loved Ricochet in the small snippets in other books and knew he was going to be great. I too have PTSD and you did a wonderful job with it. I also love Tucson so this chapter makes me really happy. The Viking MC stories as a whole is a must read. Every character is unique and complex and this is no different. How original to have Jordan be a falconer. Amazing. Anyway….just read the book…the series….anything with Cathleen Cole on it!

OMG this book was everything and more. You learn a little bit about Ricochet and how he has PTSD in previous books but to see him really struggle with it in his book is heartbreaking. It was amazing to see him change and fall in love with Jordan. Their initial meet up and first kiss...can you say fire!!! I loved these 2 characters for each other. Jordan is so strong and learns to have confidence in herself which makes her relationship with Ricochet grow and be amazing!! This book by far is a 5 star for me!!
