This book is a generalized explanation of what librarians do.

The book is written on a second grade level, so the information is presents it very basic. But, this book is a good introduction to what librarians do every day, and includes information regarding how they check-out books. It also presents basic information about the Dewey Decimal System. There are two additional sections in the back of the book that have interesting information regarding basic facts about librarians, as well as the history of librarianship. There are also boldface words throughout the text that are featured in a glossary in the back of the book. The book discusses librarians in a positive light, and clearly points out that all librarians have gone to college.
