Bzzz! Learn all about the life cycle of honeybees, how they make honey, and more. With fun bee facts and bright, realistic artwork, this Station Stop 2 easy reader will fly off bookshelves!
I really enjoyed this book and found it very informative. It goes over so many aspects of a bees life, and somehow seems to fit just about everything you could want to know in its pages. Children will learn how bees make honey, how they work together, how they are born, how we gather honey from bees, and about the different kinds of bees and different kinds of honey we can make. I think it really portrays bees as the amazing insects they are, not the rather frightening bugs we sometimes tend to see them as.
Very nice! Full of good information & pictures. No evolution. Page about pitching out the old bees and killing off the drones for winter could be a little much for some children.
This is a very good "Science' book to read to a young child. Explains anything and everything one would want to know about bees. But tells it in a way that isn't scarey for the younger ones. Some reviews list this book as level 3 but the book I read it says on the cover it's level 2. My 3 year old granddaughter and I both enjoyed this book.
I learned that honeybees can sting a bear in the nose! And honey bees kick out the new queen bees because there's already a queen bee - why would they have new queen bees when they already have one!
