It's not only a very good summary of all things gut health related, but also written in a witty way. I loved practical tips, charts, templates and the recipe section at the end, too.

If you read Everybody Poops by Taro Gomi with your kids, keep reading and grab a copy of The Gut Chronicles! To jump straight to the end, every one of us continues to poop for our whole lives but almost none of us talk about it. Sandra Mikhail is NOT afraid to talk about poo and everything else going on in your gut. Her approach is practical and grounded in science and common sense, while avoiding fad-based approaches, to help you have a healthier gut. I loved her topics for the ladies: period poop and the benefit of pelvic floor exercises going well beyond stress incontinence of the bladder, to name a few. Athletes will benefit from her training with the International Olympic Committee and even the weekend warriors among us will recognise the runners gut urgent need to stop for the bathroom mid-run. There are practical tips & food recommendations scattered in every section and a dedicated chapter easy recipes at the end.

If you are still nervous to talk about your poo problems, grab a copy of this book and have a stealth read - my husband stole my copy while eating his super food salad at lunch and whole heartedly endorsed the bit he read!

*thanks for the advance copy!

The Gut Chronicles is a Must Read- a total page turner.
Sandra, through her wit and absolute candor makes Poo a conversation starter. She manages to demystify a topic still considered taboo or inappropriate in most social settings.

This book is written by an experienced dietitian who backs her points with up-to-date scientific data, all explained in terms that are easy for everyone to understand and integrate into their lives.

Icing on the cake - delicious recipes for an optimal gut health at the end of the book!

Enjoyed the read. Different than the other “dietary” books out there. Enjoyed the humorous approach.
