A sexy, whimsical debut featuring the hunky genie of one single mom's dreams...

Back in her tiny hometown with a new baby to care for, successful attorney Ravine Patton thought her life had gone up in smoke. Then her nappy Genie went haywire, and out popped a handsome pilot who'd been trapped inside. Gene-who, it turns out, is her genie-has granted her three wishes.

Lucky Ravine now has the gorgeous hunk scrubbing her entire house. But it isn't long before she starts falling for Gene, which means big trouble. I received this book so long ago. I remebering wanting to save it for a long cold winter. Little did I know I would be saving it for a pandemic. It was just the book I needed. I engoyed every minute of it, and I'm so happy I waited for the perfect moment to read it. This book follows Ravine who is taking care of her baby boy (the result of a one night stand with a motorcylce ride.) when she finds an amber bottle with a tiny genie inside. I don't want to give it all away because I went in blind, and I think you should too. There's a light mystery involving indian land, there romance between ravine and her genie, and even answers of what happened to her past fling. If you looking for something light hearted , fun, and even a little christmasy, this book is perfect. If your expecting a full mystery, its a little light on the mystery. I really enjoyed it. I wish the author would have made more books about Ravine, Gene and their adventures. Thats my only complaint, that Gene and Ravines story ends with this book.

Lucy Finn's writing feels very fresh and positive even when dealing with hard subjects. This book and the other of hers that I've read are tackling what could be a very overdone idea and presenting it in an innovative and enchanting way that is nothing short of magical. Simply couldn't put this one down.

Okay, this could have been so much better. It was written in first person, which isn't that bad, but, I never connected with the Main Character at all and her name was said only a few times, so, I never knew her name throughout the whole thing! Then, there were breaks in the writing where the main character (MC) actually talked straight to the reader and I don't really like that. It takes me out of the story and makes the story stumble. Don't even get me started on how draggy the story started, first with the MC, then, the guy she met, then why she moved, and her family. By the time I got to the genie, I didn't care about her. As I was reading, I felt that her kid was like wallpaper (kind of just there to be something interesting in the background), that the genie was way too kind and understanding and just perfect (doesn't exist, not even in books) and she was doing stupid things just to get them in trouble. There were a lot of things that happened in this book, but, most of it just seemed to be tossed in to have something happen or to give the MC something to do. By the time the book ended, I didn't like the MC at all. From the cover art and the back cover, it sounds like it's going to be a quirky, fun read. It wasn't. I never laughed and I never smiled. It wasn't cute or funny, it was trying to be too serious and complex and ended up spoiling the barely there romance, and adding so much other stuff that it was just a mess. I was just happy to see the end of it. If you want a laugh out loud story, this is not it.

This warm whimsical romantic fantasy stars an intelligent lawyer with commitment issues and a kind hearted genie. At first Ravine was very skeptical about a genie she finds in a bottle. Through out the book Ravine struggles with her feelings for him as well as his feelings for her. These insecurities sometimes caused her to take her fustrations out on Gene. However, as the story unfolds with suspence, humor, sadness and mild romance, Ravine comes into her own and you are charmed and pleased with her character development. As for Gene, well what can I say but he's perfect. He's the kind of guy any women would like to settle down with.

Ms. Finn makes the tale fun and enables her readers to wish we all had our own personal genie.

This book is about a mother with a child baby, but couldn't find the husband. She ends up with a genie and he grants her 3 wishes. On her last wish, she has to chose between her mother's life, or her her love for the genie. She chooses her mother's life, and loses the genie. A couple of years have past, and on the following Christmas, she gets a key to a safety deposit. When she opens this box, she find a bottle with her genie in it. She now is granted another 3 wishes, but she only wants to grant the one that allows genie to stay with her for ever.

It's true, you don't feel the same way about a book after you have finished it; I sure don't.
It took the last few chapters to change my mood from happy, to sad, to shocked.
I enjoyed EVERY page, considering how well I could visualize myself in the book.
I would rate this four and half stars if I could.
The author (Lucy Finn) has produced a brilliant book, and I am forever grateful for stumbling across it. Now I'm just waiting for MY genie.

A sweet read about a single mom who ends up releasing a genie from a bottle...and then falling in love with him. The writer does a good job of laying down hints throughout the story which all pile up at the end.

Took a little to get into it, since it was written in first person, and I tend to not like those as much. And a few of the situations seem a little contrived (Gene the Genie?). Not quite as funny as I initially expected, but a fun read.

This was a cute romance in which a single mom finds herself in possession of a genie in a lamp--and then falls for him. Will they figure out a way to stay together and solve all the local legal issues at the same time? Time will tell.

This book was absolutely adorable! I loved it to pieces. A single mom falls in love with a genie in a bottle, how cute is that?

Two very enthusiastic thumbs up!
