This collection is some of the very first lesbian writing that I ever read. My friend Jerry gave me the book, one of his textbooks from the lesbian literature class he took in college. I remember going to a party for the class at Jerry's house and being intimidated by all the lesbians there. I was barely out as bisexual then and all those lesbians made me really nervous!
