Earth Grids: The Secret Patterns of Gaia's Sacred Sites

Rate this book
Do ancient maps prove that the planet was surveyed 12,000 years ago? Were the poles once in a different position to where they are today? Is there a secret pattern joining the great sites of antiquity? In this revolutionary little book, ancient sites expert Hugh Newman outlines various theories concerning geometry in the distribution of sacred sites on Earth and comes to some startling conclusions. Illustrated throughout with fantastic graphics, this book will change your world. WOODEN BOOKS are small but packed with information. "Fascinating" FINANCIAL TIMES. "Beautiful" LONDON REVIEW OF BOOKS. "Rich and Artful" THE LANCET. "Genuinely mind-expanding" FORTEAN TIMES. "Excellent" NEW SCIENTIST. "Stunning" NEW YORK TIMES. Small books, big ideas.

I was extremely excited about this book and the Earth Grids theory but it was too small. At first I though the size of the book was neat but then it just got difficult. Plus it read too much like a text book without a lot of passion. Good info but not spread out enough for me.

Lovely little book with illustrations on every second page that provides a concise introduction to such topics as Geomagnetic Field, Ley lines, Vile Vortices, Ancient Maps, Prime Meridian, Earth Music, Global Positioning etc. Very interesting and easy to understand. This book may be small, but it is stuffed full of information.

P. 12- "Plato writes in the "Phaedo [110b]: "The real Earth, viewed from above, resembles a ball made of twelve pieces of leather, variegated and marked out in different colors..."

P. 54- "Ultimately the Earth grid remains a mystery. Whether an artifact of subtle energies, ancient wizards, aliens or the human imagination, it can take one on an amazing journey to some incredible places."

(Um pormenor interessante do livro: as letras prateadas da capa, quando expostas à luz, criam um efeito algo semelhante às cores da Aurora Boreal - Northern Lights)

MY THOUGHTS:

I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

What a delightful book! For being so small, it sure contains a wealth of information. So many questions are raised and addressed, such as: Do ancient maps prove Earth was surveyed 12,000 year ago? Were the poles once in different positions from where they are today? Is there a secret pattern joining the great sites of antiquity? And, the big one that seems to scream from the pages: Could there have been a more advanced society living 12,000 years ago than what we believed?

Now, that is a good question?

Topics discussed in this book include: The Geomagnetic Field; Dymaxion Maps, The Platonic Solids; Vile Vortices; Russian Discoveries; Landscape Geometries; Locating the Center; Landscapes Zodiacs; Ancient Maps; Global Positioning; Earth Music; Geometry on Other Planets… and more.

Lots of diagrams, maps and grids to accompany the wealth of information you’ll find in this little book. It’s a great resource material and one I plan on keeping.

I love this little book.

This is a small pocket book (6"X6") with not many pages either but it is a great reference book to be used to further research. Some of the graphics are hard to see due to the small print, but for the price I consider it to be a quick read, a coffee table type book. It does have great information, so do not underestimate it. It is a good addition to your library.

Short, Sweet and packed with great information about the History, Geometry and placement of sacred sites around our globe!

The math and the resources are a wonderful jumping off point into some real enlightening information about the geometric grids and energy that naturally flows around our Globe, and other globes/celestial bodies (ie. The Sun, Mars, Jupiter, ect)

Wonderful, Quick, Reference!

In fact, very few people on the face of the planet know that the very shape of the M25 forms the sigil *odegra* in the language of the Black Priesthood of Ancient Mu, and means 'Hail the Great Beast, Devourer of Worlds'.

It's a little power pack of information concerning the unseen and mostly unknown power grid around the earth. It's connected to ancient megaliths, to the technique of dowsing, sacred geometry and history of course.

I'm a geek, so I love this stuff! Interesting to learn about geodesy and magnetic pole shifts, coincidental longitudinal placements of world historic megalithic structures and all with the Prime Meridian located at Giza (Alexandria). If you are into that kind of stuff, it's very interesting.

I’d give this book 4 stars but the tiny illustrations are a serious flaw. The book itself is only about 4” square. Interesting, but wee.

Not really a book, but more of a coffee table pamphlet for someone who had never heard of any of these ideas to pick up and say: “Hmmm.. Interesting. Maybe I’ll look into these ideas more later.”

Intéressant - bonne introduction mais introduction uniquement. Donne envie d’en apprendre plus sur les champs magnétiques terrestres, la géométrie cachée dans la nature et l’alignement des sites sacrés. Incomplet cependant.

Great beginning book for those interested

Not best read on a phone...very helpful and concise. The information could be organized a little better, but by location works.

This little book is fascinating. The illustrations are small, so that makes it difficult to see the details, but the ideas are interesting and speculative.
