Twilighting: My Exploration of the Twilight Phenomenon

Rate this book
The Twilight saga has become recognized as a worldwide phenomenon. Just as the world was making this discovery, so was Emily Reynolds. What began as an idea for a research paper turned into her master’s thesis. Many wonder at the rapture of Twilighters, and the purpose of this work is to bring insight into the minds of Twilighters.

Reynolds traveled to many Twilight promotional events to observe, interview, and survey hundreds of Twilighters firsthand. This work shares highlights from her travels and, of course, reports what was seen, heard, and read directly from Twilighters. In this work, Reynolds discusses patterns of thought and behavior as well as levels of engagement.

garbage. I thought it would be an illuminating dissertation about a cultural phenomenon but this 1 ream notebook of a publication was anything but!

Let le tell you the entire, waste of time, *pamphlet* of a "book" by Ms. "I need you to know I read Shakespeare in my spare time Reynolds"

Guess what? Twilighting, the aught years phenomenon centered around the most popular pisspoor young adult trilogy of the aught years of this millennium is text book parasocial behavior.

That's it. That's literally, all she wrote! Except that she repeated this simple conclusion for PAGES. AND got a masters and a cushy job as a result!

But it's cool. . .she reads shakespeare while others around her read twilight, so she says, so. . .she deserves it.
