The most popular feature in LIFE magazine every week—perhaps the most popular weekly page in any American publication—is the Picture Puzzle. There will be variations on themes and variations on the game itself, as scores of color and vintage black-and-white photographs—many from the famous Time-Life Picture Archives—are twisted, doctored, and otherwise toyed with, all in the name of fun and entertainment. For the first time, the Picture Puzzle will be offered in three different degrees of difficulty.
Life was an American magazine published weekly from 1883 to 1972, as an intermittent "special" until 1978, and as a monthly from 1978 until 2000. During its golden age from 1936 to 1972, Life was a wide-ranging weekly general interest magazine known for the quality of its photography.
