Can't go with this anymore. I tried to like it because I am a super fan of classic Soviet science books, but couldn't. One of the reasons is the 'extraordinary' bad translation. Also outdated facts and incomprehensible sequence drew me back from reading.

Although the idea behind the book is really amazing. At this moment I am trying to find some good books on the history of medical science.
I badly need a book which is written based on the premise of this one and not so much hard to follow. Friends, any recommendations?
