I've picked and put down this volume for several times since last year. Why? Because of Narumi and how he connected with Mizuho in the past. I like Mizuho as the MC (probably too much, when I think about it) and I was reluctant to see her walks the wrong path. This whole volume is about the back story between them and a little bit of pieces (no pun intended) about Origuchi too.
So, I've brave myself up and finished this volume and seriously, what a hurdle it was. My rating probably shows that I have mix feeling about how the things unveiled but important nonetheless. Seriously, I want the plot go back to the mystery about Origuchi's death and their search for the truth about the 'man'.

It comes to the irritating part where the female lead find it fine to be treated by one of the the male leads, who is of course a somewhat popular player type of guy, as he liked. Though eventually the female lead decided to set a limit to how far he can do such and such things to her, still it didn't do much to make it any better, if anything, it feels worse.
However, as it irritates me by showing such part of the female lead character which contradicts my moral belief, from the beginning, this series did seem to tell a story of a not-so-morally-good teenage life where suicide, stalking, cheating, abortion, existed. Even the female lead who is in shoujo manga series generally have an innocent or at least good attitude is part of the ones who are being subjects of those phenomena.
Having said that, the manga or more like the author, through her female lead, seems to try to see them from a neutral point of view. Suga is a very interesting character. It looks like that it is really completely her who told this story. The way the story didn't do much after telling many corrupt attitudes of the people around her, or how the story gave no judgement to the characters when they did wrong, and even when they did good.
There's something incomplete in Suga as a human, as the manga showed her to be. And as the story is told by her, readers of this manga (maybe with some difficulties) are forced to not have immediate judgement to what seems to be bad or good in this story, exploring Suga's mind, to try to look into the mind of an incomplete human being: who seems neutral in looking at things, even too neutral that she accepts everything.

Il terzo volume di Piece è molto intenso e profondo.
La protagonista Mizuho torna con la mente al rapporto che aveva durante il liceo con il suo compagno di classe Narumi, un rapporto molto particolare fatto di tenerezza, paura, affetto, ferite e complicità.
Si indaga sulla fragilità dell'animo umano, sulle donne che collezionano manuali per essere buone mogli e madri e rifiutano di guardare in faccia la realtà, su quelle che si accontentano dell'affetto temporaneo di un uomo sposato, sui bambini troppo piccoli e indifesi in un mondo di adulti che spesso li ferisce e li condiziona per sempre.
Un bellissimo "pezzo" di una storia che promette sempre meglio.

Oh, oh, oh...
Il passato di Mizuho e Narumi è più interessante del previsto. I due si erano avvicinati parecchio al liceo, ma Mizuho aveva preferito mantenere il loro rapporto segreto, per via di tutte le voci che giravano su Narumi.
In questo volume, la storia di Origuchi va momentaneamente in secondo piano. Solo nelle ultime tavole si scopre che forse anche Narumi ha un passato con lei. Buona parte del volume, infatti, serve a spiegare la storia di Narumi, sia attraverso il suo rapporto con Mizuho sia attraveso la relazione con la madre, una psicologa di successo.
Più che un volume, un pugno allo stomaco.

Hmm hmmm hmmm. Gimana yah, sebenernya pengen ngasih 5 bintang kayak 2 volume sebelumnya, cuman di volume ini bisa dibilang isinya flashback semua, jadi misteri di masa sekarangnya gak maju2. Padahal kan penasaran coy! Walaupun memang bagus juga sih diceritain masa lalu tentang hubungan Mizuho dan Narumi, cowok yang sampe volume ini gw belum mutusin suka ato gak sama karakter ini.
