About the author

Eoin Colfer (pronounced Owen) was born in Wexford on the South-East coast of Ireland in 1965, where he and his four brothers were brought up by his father and mother, who were both educators.

He received his degree from Dublin University and began teaching primary school in Wexford. He has lived and worked all over the world, including Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and Italy. After the publication of the Artemis Fowl novels, Eoin retired from teaching and now writes full time. He lives in Ireland with his wife and two children.

Artemis Always Has a Plan B!!!!!

This story is about a robbery of a diamond. Artemis teams up with Mulch, dwarf who is also a thief, for the robbery.

Well, this was really short. I didn't see any point in the story that could relate to the series. I am not saying it was a waste-of-time read. But I thought it was the part of this series.
Anyways, it was a good read for me.

Okay Artemis Fowl fans, this is a SHORT STORY!! And by SHORT I mean short! It totals 59 pages!!- that's it! If you are a big fan it's worth reading but make sure that if you are purchasing it online as I did, that you don't pay too much since it's dinky!!

I actually read this as part of the Artemis Fowl Files book, along with another short story (I forgot the name) about how Holly Short got to be the first female LEPrecon agent. It's pretty much in keeping with the other books, fun and well-written.

Artemis Fowl teams up with Mulch Diggums in order to steal a priceless tiara off a dwarf gang in this tale. It's chaos, all criminal genius and a desperate need for backup plans because naturally nothing goes right. It gives you a good idea of the schemes and hijinks of the main series, an appetiser (which is partially how these World Book Day books are chosen) and can be read without knowledge of the main series.

I have read, and enjoyed, a few of the Artemis Fowl books and I find them to be quick and entertaining.

A decent Middle Grade series, you can't go wrong letting your kids read these.

Eoin Cofer’s Artemis Fowl series reminded me how much I love a good fantasy series. He sucks the reader in and weaves a story that does not let go, making for a non-stop reading fest like only a good fantasy novel can supply. My only regret is that I only became aware of the series when I had already grown up and had to suffer the weird stares that people give to adults reading YA material.

Cute little story about Mulch Diggums... get it? He digs, and likes mulch. Love it.
He attempts to steal the tiara, but if it seems to easy, it usually is. Artemis has a surprise in store for him...
Would recommend to 10-16 year olds.

The Seventh Dwarf terdiri dari dua cerita pendek. Meski hanya berupa dua cerita pendek dan singkat, ceritanya tetap seru karena kita kembali menyaksikan plot yang dibuat Artemis Fowl untuk mendapatkan targetnya. Karena saya tahu Fowl ini jenius, saya jadi selalu penasaran dengan semua rencananya dan bagaimana ide-ide tersebut bisa muncul.

Cerita Pertama

Tentang Holly Short yang baru diterima LEPrecon dan menjadi Corporal. Kejadiannya sebelum peristiwa di Fowl Manor yang terjadi di buku pertama. Dia awalnya menjadi semacam polisi lalu lintas. Lalu, dia mengikuti tes untuk bisa menjadi anggota Reconnaisance. Tesnya dia harus bisa mengalahkan Commander Julius Root dalam permainan tag. Tapi, proses inisiasi tersebut terkendala karena kakak Root, yaitu Turnball Root, seorang kriminal dan dalam pelarian menyabotase inisiasinya Short. Dia menahan Trouble Kelp dan berhasil menahan juga Julius. Short menyelamatkan mereka berdua meski itu berarti dia harus melawan perintah langsung Julius yang memerintahkannya untuk menghubungi markas dan bukannya bertindak sendiri.

Cerita Kedua

Cerita kedua berlatar waktu setelah buku pertama. Artemis Fowl dan Mulch Diggums bekerja sama untuk mencuri tiara Fei Fei. Tiara Fei Fei memiliki satu berlian berwarna biru yang sangat khas. Warna biru dari berlian tersebut mengingatkan Fowl akan mata ayahnya. Karena Fowl hanya menginginkan berlian biru itu, maka bagian lain dari tiara tersebut akan menjadi milik Diggums. Itu adalah tawaran Fowl kepada Diggums sewaktu Fowl berhasil memancing Diggums di New York dengan tiara Fei Fei yang palsu.

Artemis Fowl always make me laugh and smile and this was no exception. I read this as part of the booktubeathon because it is really short and I needed short. I now want to reread all the Artemis Fowl books or at least something else from Eoin Colfer. You can't really say anything about this book as it's so short anything is a spoiler. The same cast is here and the love and hate each other as much as ever which results in the most ridiculous plots that make so much sense yet you can't believe that it's really happening. As always after reading Artemis Fowl I want the fairy world in these books to be real.

This was a nice little short story that can be read in no time. The story had a tickling plot that could have gotten more out of it. This was really short and I would have liked to have devoted myself to the story a little longer. Everything else was fine, but the story was too short. However, it wasn't shallow or unfinished.

I have forgotten about this book in the Artemis series (number 1.5) until I perused my library today. How could I resist? A very quick read consisting of 2 Short stories. Not up to par but amusing nonetheless.

Cool more stories about Artemis wanting to steal something & forcing a fairy to help him & the plan goes wrong again...maybe I'm just bitter cuz I also finished the 3rd book, but I feel like there wasn't a lot going on here. I did love the ending tho!
