Being a Steelers Fan all my life, I really didn't learn anything new from this book, but it was fun to read anyway.

Great book for new Steelers fans as well as lifelong fans such as myself. There was not a lot of new info here for veterans but it was just nice to take a trip down memory lane.
One not, even though the book says revised and updated, some things are still out of date.

100 Things Steelers Fans Should Know and Do Before They Die is about 100 hundred things to know about the Steelers historic past. It goes from learning about the "Chief" Art Rooney, all the way to keys to a great tailgate. One of the things was about Super Bowl XLIII. It talked about James Harrison's 100 yard interception returned for a touchdown. It also talked about Santonio Holmes' touchdown in the last minute to win the game and clinch their record 6th Super Bowl win in franchise history. It also talked about a lot of Steelers' great players.
I think this book was good because the Steelers are my favorite team. I also like this book because i've never read a book like this book. Matt Loede is a good author for football books because he has been in the sports media for over 15 years. He covered the Steelers' Super Bowl 43 victory. I give this book an 8 out of 10 because Matt Loede is a good author and this book is very unique.

This book does a nice job identifying and summarizing the most significant players and coaches, games, plays, trivia and other miscellaneous Steelers-related things. Anyone who has been following the team since the 1980s as I have will likely be familiar with all 100 things - there was barely anything in this book that I did not already know, and also identified several factual errors in the lightly-edited and researched book. Still, no Steelers fan - including this one - will soon get tired of re-reading stories of Steelers lore.
The best audience, though, would probably be young fans just getting up to speed on the team's history, in particular the glory years of the 1970s and 2000s and the strong teams of the 1990s, which, not surprisingly, are the focus of the 100 Things.
