I'm kind of speechless on behalf of this book, All I can say is, as that old saying goes.. The love of money is the root of all evil (enough said).

Good book just bad grammar along with unsolved issues. Jazmine should've left a long time ago. I don't feel bad for Roslyn though.... just her daughter and Alyse daughter

Set It Off

GOOD GIRL GONE BAD by Danette Majette is the story of three women: Alyse, Jazmine and Roslynn. Three friends that made it out of the ghetto for a seemingly more ideal lifestyle, each woman has their own story of financial hardship.

Alyse and her husband, Lance are struggling to make ends meet. Alyse, is working hard as a housekeeper in a rundown motel. Lance is trying to keep a secret from Alyse, that he is too ashamed to admit. Unfortunately with this secret it will cost him more than he realizes.

Jazmine is being beaten on the regular by her police husband Vince. Trying to keep it a secret from her friends proves to be too much for her to hold inside. With the threat of Vince taking her son, she has to come up with a plan for them to get away from him.

Roslynn is married to a wealthy business man. She is a compulsive shopper, that is secretly in debt. Roslynn is also being blackmailed for a secret that threatens to destroy her marriage.

With each of these women in desperate need of money. They come up with a scheme that will get them more than enough money. Unfortunately the plan goes wrong and nobody will be the same after everything is said and done.

GOOD GIRL GONE BAD was a good summer read. It moves fast and you are drawn into the story. Unfortunately in my opinion it was just an okay read. I felt the end was rushed and a few things just didn’t make much sense. The story kind of reminded me of the movie SET IT OFF. These good girls don’t seem to go bad until near the end of the story. So all in all if I had to rate this on a 1-10 scale I would give it 5 stars, but since I am rating it on amazon my final rating would be 3 stars.

Minus a few errors this was a good read. Good girls gone bad focused on three friends that all found themselves in desperate situations. Jazmine had to deal with Vince and his arrogant and abusive ways. Even though Vince was suppose to protect those around him, he did the complete opposite. Every chance he got he belittled Jazmine and treated her wrong with no regards at all to her feelings. Roslynn was just doing too much for me. She had everything she could ask for but still allowed her spending habits and secrets to mess up a good thing. She had more than enough time to tell Adrian what was going on with her. Alyse, although she found herself struggling experienced a lot. Her husband Lance neglected a few details concerning his job but Alyse's secret took the cake. I wasn't expecting that at all! With so many disappointments going on around each of the girls, and in dire need of money they found themselves throwing caution to the wind. Poor Jerry could've just put his secret out himself and let Adrian know about the blackmail instead of agreeing to help Roslynn. To say Montee was a thorough dude he sure didn't mind throwing everyone else to the wolves to save his own ass. Jazmine played her situation out fairly well and got the ultimate payback towards Vince in the process. Miles stepped up and helped her in a major way. Alyse's ending got to me the most because of what she had to face alone when all she was trying to do was find a way to protect her daughter. You never know what issues will occur to push a good girl to go bad. Even though each situation was different, the all risked so much to get what they needed.

Good Girl Gone Bad is a fantastic book it has a lot of meaning to it and it expresses a lot of irony. When I first starting reading this book it wasn't so good i was going to stop but I didn't it shows you how your life can look great to others but only you know its horrible.

There was a few example of irony but I'm going to touch on one. There was a women that had a child with her husband but all of a sudden the child became really ill. So she took her to the doctor its ironic how the father lost his job and didn't want to tell her but she found out because he didn't pay the insurance bill. The young daughter needed blood but her father wasn't a match its ironic how the mother never told him that it was another mans baby and it wasn't his.

The book was okay, author had a great draft but felt like she but unnecessary details in it that had added no value the story. I love how the story got sadder and sadder and love how well the bank fraud went but the end killed the book. It's seams like the author lost interest and just rush to finished it. I say if this book get a second chance it would definitely make it to a top 5 favorite for the new year

This book is about three ladies who are at different places in there lives. What I mean by that is they all have different problems. One of the main characters Jazmine is being abused brutally by her husband. Also, another main character, Alyse, the main problem she has is her daughter continuously gets sick. But those are not all troubles for these girls and there is more to come.

All I can say (so I don't ruin for anyone else) is this book was a great read and the ending was the best!!! I'm happy that Jasmine was finally able to be happy with her son. Although everyone didnt have happy endings.
