This volume was fantastic and filled with events. Finally, we get to know why Kasane's sister was planning to deceive her. Was she successful? You have to read it.

What made this volume stands out than the previous ones is that it gives us the background story of Kasane's mother. How she brought them, Kasane & her sister. Her story was good & I think it continues to the next volume too.

This volume contains ch 72 to 80

After a soft conclusion to the revenge story, I don't believe this is the end though, we arrive at Izana's long awaited backstory. Not sure if this is the same as the prequel or the prequel has some other part of her backstory. So far, I didn't enjoy it as much as I'd hoped.

But hey, remember how we discussed on how the series have really abominable characters? One of those abomination is in this backstory and the last chapter gave us a new glimpse into his psyche. Even more repulsive than we'd imagined it before.
The writer sure has a knack.

Ce manga est vraiment glauque et dérangeant. Insoutenable.

A really dark volume again, since we get to learn more about Sukeyo Fuchi's past. I flew through this chapter, so I'd say it's a 4,5* from me, the highest in the series so far.

The story really kicked in for this volume. We get a semi-conclusion to the revenge plot, and we also get a little bit of backstory that raises interesting questions.

Believe me when I saw my heart was POUNDING while reading the first chapter of volume nine! Nogiku has set her plan in motion and this read start with what happens as a result of it. However, the majority of volume nine is the the full story of how “Sukeyo Fuchi” came to be and how both Nogiku’s and Kasane’s mothers got into the predicament we see in some of the previous chapters. This story is truly unnerving and the way the story is revealed and the characters are developed is incredible. This manga has been a thrill to read, although very uncomfortable at times. Despite knowing the ending for both of them, it’ll be interesting (and probably upsetting) to see how it ends in the next volume.
