The idea of developing emotional intelligence (or EQ) has gained popularity over the past decade. Unfortunately, many people don't understand what EQ is or why it has grown in popularity over the years. Over the years, many scientific studies have shown that emotional intelligence is far more important than average intelligence measured using the IQ scale. These studies were conducted by universities in America and Europe. They found that only 20% of our successes and achievements can be attributed to the common intelligence response. The other 80 per cent relies solely on our emotional intelligence.
