Thirty-three percent of teenaged girls report having experienced violence at the hands of a dating partner. Among adolescent and college-age women, 70% of all reported sexual assaults are date rape. Reverend Miles is a straight-talking, down to earth pastor with a great deal of experience, and a very even-handed way of talking about a difficult subject. He addresses the ways that abusers use Christianity against the women they abuse, the particular problems of abused teens, and a different sub-set of problems in the African-American community. He also offers many suggestions for how we can all help to support and keep safe victims of dating violence.
