Argumento:

Como Alfa, tengo responsabilidades. De los que nunca he rehuido, porque mis elecciones significan seguridad para mi manada. Sus vidas dependen de ello.

Pero entonces Carli aparece en mi casa una tarde bochornosa. Ella es hermosa, independiente. Irresistible.

Fuera de los límites.

Ella me roba el aliento. Mi corazón. Mis buenas intenciones. Y ahora tengo que tomar una decisión, sabiendo que nuestro amor podría significar guerra. Debería dejarla ir. Sin embargo, por mucho que lo intente, no puedo dar la espalda.

La alternativa es seguir mi corazón. Hazla mía.

Y luchar con todo lo que tengo para asegurar que nadie sufra daños colaterales.



Mi humilde opinión:

Un romance prohibido que me dejó con mucho drama y dudas.

El alfa, Jace, no me gustó. Me enojó mucho su actitud. Nunca fue directo y honesto con Carli, principalmente con Beth que era su prometida. No sentí que estuviera arrepentido o sintiera culpa real por lo que les había hecho. Me dio mucha pena por Carli, ojalá hubiera sido más dura con él. Festejé su contestación en la discusión que tienen en el callejón fuera del bar, a pesar de estar destruida le dijo lo que pensaba y él quedó como el imbécil que era.

Como alfa era malísimo. Su compromiso con Beth era para hacer fuerte a su manada, algo entendible, pero no justificaba ser un cobarde desleal con ambas mujeres. No amaba a Beth. Cómo su unión iba a fortalecer la manada? No entendí cómo funcionaría una vez emparejados.

Jace estaba con temor de que los atacara la manada que estaba asesinando a otras más pequeñas y débiles. Yo no lo vi nunca investigar al enemigo o preparar un plan para defenderse llegado el momento. Deja la responsabilidad a otros mientras él no sé que hacía, remodelar una casa en la playa y hacer papeleos en su oficina? Para mi no era un líder fuerte y decidido sino inseguro de todo.

Carli era una decoradora de interiores pero no me convenció que lo era. Quería verla crecer y tomar las riendas de su vida pero de pronto tiene sexo con Jace, a quien apenas conoce, y luego se involucra con Devon, el beta de Jace, para olvidar a Jace cuando se entera que está comprometido? No podía creer que los protagonistas hicieran más complicadas las cosas mintiendo y hasta lastimándose.

La razón para no estar juntos me pareció que podría solucionarse fácil, además Carli era hija de un alfa. Y qué pasaba con la manada que los amenazaba? No me quedó clara la situación ni sentí que había un peligro para ellos.

Si bien es un romance prohibido que tiene su parte picante, el drama y los protagonistas me superaron. En general no está mal pero me hubiera gustado menos drama, más acción, emoción, situaciones lógicas, más mundo shifter. Terminó en suspenso y le voy a dar una oportunidad a ver cómo continúa...

This is Jace and Carli's story and is part of a trilogy so it ends with a cliffhanger. Jace is the Alpha of the Silver Moon clan and is building a home on the beach for himself and his fiance. Carli is the interior decorator he hires for this project. Jace does not love Beth his fiance but plans to go through with the mating for the sake of his clan to increase their ability to defend themselves against another clan that has been killing smaller clans in the area. Beth belongs to a another larger clan and if they combine the two it would better protect them from the Black Valley clan. All that is thrown into chaos however when Jace first meets Carli and there is an intense attraction they can't fight. There are plenty of complications along the way as well as a lack of communication which cause further tension. A secret betrayal within Silver Moons ranks also arises which could threaten everyone in the community and in particular Jace, Carli and her precious secret. I enjoyed this story and can't wait for the next installment to find out how things turn out.

It ended on a cliffhanger but I knew that going in. What bothered me about the book was I didn't like the characters. Jace was being ridiculous, sleeping with Carli and ghosting her every time. He's engaged, yet still slept with her. Beth is overall just annoying and not what I expected from someone pushing the marriage. How is she happy about marrying Jace and cheating on him at the same time.
And then there was Carli, I tried to like her but I couldn't get over how easily she allowed Jace to sleep with her. She wasn't aware of his engagement the first time but the second time she knew and she still slept with him. I was hoping for a strong female character who would make Jace realize what he's doing wrong but Carli is almost encouraging him to continue playing her. Its not like she's drawing a line between the two or forcing him to choose between her and Beth and she should.
Also why kill of her parents? Plot wise that made no sense to me.

Stolen Passion.

Ooh what a good start to the trilogy, mystery, action, forbidden passion and a secret baby! Jace knew he wanted to be with Carli but he was already engage to be mated to another to save his pack.

He tried everything to stay away from her and was even jealous when she started to see his best friend but he couldn’t resist her and when they were attacked he would do anything to save her.

After one night together Carli found she was pregnant by Jace! She knew he was engaged to someone else and swore to stay away but sometimes you cannot help your feelings.

The storyline keeps you guessing what will happen next. Will Jace choose Carli or Beth? Unfortunately that part of the trilogy will be revealed in the next story. Looking forward to finding out!

I gave this book a three-star because of the female character. The one thing I hate the most in books is when the woman hides her pregnancy from the father but yet still has sex with him knowing this. Why can't she be honest and say I'm pregnant. I know there are complications with Beth his chosen mate but they're fated mates and she needs to do what's right and tell him. Now she's in trouble, being blackmailed by his beta Devin who said "I will tell him and ruin everything for you if you don't meet with me."she sometimes comes across as being an idiot. The two of them must face this challenge coming up in the next book and deal with black valley pack who's been attacking and destroying smaller packs including Carli's(FMC).

Super easy funny read of two people finding a lover they weren't looking for. Aphla Jace is trying to get his house built and decorated so he can start the next phase of his life. Along comes Carli trying to live her dream of being interior designer and having lobster on the beach. The two do the horizontal tango and Jace leaves out some must know info about himself. Check out this story learn all the funny pet nicknames these give each other from Fireball to Schmuck shot and see how this aphla bows to his inner desires. Enjoy 🥰.

Cliffhanger ending. There is cheating and big betrayal on multiple fronts. Huge secrets kept. Carli ends up in a bad situation while trying to be independent. I did not like the way Carli was going about things—starting a relationship with someone while keeping such a big secret that affects everyone around them. Jace is in a predicament and not making decisions he needs to make. Beth shows her colors multiple times proving she would be a terrible mate. Devon—just wow. I really want to see how this ends up playing out and what the reasons behind certain things were.

Jace feels he has to choose a mate to strengthen his pack, but what might happen if temptation comes along? Carli has been hired to help Jace with his design work on his beach home, and when they cross paths the sparks fly. Will Jace choose to strengthen his pack or his desire? I really enjoyed Jace and Carli's story, it had angst, betrayal, drama, steam and people to like and dislike. It left me hanging though, and I need to know what's next.

There is a lot of passion, heartbreak, danger and betrayal. This book leave’s you hanging and wanting the next book now. She was running from her life and now she finds herself stuck. He’s alpha and he was promised to another, but he’s stuck in choosing what’s best. There’s hard truths these two have to figure out and it’s leaving them drained.

Wow, I was hooked from the first few pages and it just got better and better. The attraction is undeniable between these two characters, but as alpha, Jace has to do what it takes to keep his pack safe and protected, even if it means mating with someone else that he really can’t stand. So many twists and turns and looks like betrayal from Jace’s best Friend and beta. Looking forward to the next book.

The chemistry between Jace and Carli draws you in, trying to fight their attraction for each other to do the right thing. Enter Beth and Devon to keep you wanting to read more. A great storyline that sucks you in and wants you needing to read the next book. I can't wait to read the next installment in the series to see what happens with Carli and Jace, will they get their HEA, I hope so.

Forbidden Wolf is the beginning of an exciting and interesting trilogy.
The connection between Carli and Jace is immediate, the flames of passion are there but their relationship becomes so complicated that they both drift away from each other, which bothers me to see them apart.
I love that Carli is looking for a way to be independent even more so that her life is about to change with what she just discovered.
I hate Beth and Devon!!!!
And that ending, I need the second book right now.

Wow this one gets pretty hot pretty fast! I was on the edge of my seat waiting for what would happen. Towards the end I was getting very suspicious of someone in particular. Turns out I was totally right, this guy is the scummiest of creeps! Of course there's a cliffy! Oh so excited for the next one!.

This is a wonderful, sci-fi, romance story that I enjoyed reading. The characters are well written with a wonderful chemistry between them. I enjoyed watching them grow together. The storyline is interesting, and kept from beginning to end.

This story line is fast-moving as we meet Jace, the Alpha, and Carli, a strong, independent woman who probably doesn’t need Jace’s help at all. I enjoyed this, it was a fun light read, I always do enjoy a bit of drama, torn choices an alpha giving into his desires, having said that some of the behaviours of the characters are just too secretive and underhand, but I do love me some drama, will definitely be reading the next.

I love how this new series started.
Both Carli and Jace are wonderful characters, and opposed to them I must say I hat Beth and Devon, which seem capable of all wrong things.
I hate the predicament that bith Carli and Jace are in.
But also I’m curious how will they faced it.

I found this to be an interesting story as Jase and Carli attempt to become a couple while struggling to survive. There are plenty of twists and turns and hot chemistry in this entertaining tale.
