The 19th book in the Sara Ramsey series! How is this possible? M.A. Comley writes the best series ever! I never find her style boring.
I stopped worrying about whether the quality of her writing would drop a long time ago. Every book I read that she writes is always superb.
This book sees D.I. Sara Ramsey and the team dealing with an intriguing case of a doctor being intentionally mowed down and killed. As the story unfolds, the team becomes under pressure due to another case alongside cuts to police spending, meaning fewer officers.
It's one of the best Sara Ramsey books up to yet. Can't wait for her next book! At all! Thanks to M.A. Comley for the gifted book in exchange for my honest review.

Wowsers - and I do keep saying this for this author - are we really at book 19 - and with a series that is as fresh as a daisy - well, as fresh as the series opener anyway! Oh and with no signs of flagging to boot.
We start with a fatal accident, swiftly followed by further different, but just as fatal, attacks. This time Sara and Carla - and the rest of the gang - have their work cut out for them as the crimes soon stack up. Short staffed (don't get me started on that one) they have to take on extra work even though the cases are totally different and completely unrelated... or are they? And then things get a whole lot worse when one of their own appears to be in danger...!
My reviews for this author are all getting a bit repetitive. Unlike her books I hasten to add as they are all unique in every way - how she dreams (nightmares) up the scenarios she puts all her characters in is beyond belief, but she does. Needless to say they are all still of great quality and, for me anyway, very enjoyable and satisfying reads. Outwith the main story we, once again, dip into the main characters' home lives, but these forays never overshadow the crimes being investigated.
And the banter and character interaction is once again brilliant. Completing the trifecta and marking this once again as a great read to add to the most impressive back catalogue. Roll on next time, whoever's turn it shall be...

I loved this story! I started this book in the afternoon and after a couple of pages I knew it was one that was going to have me hooked, and I wasn’t wrong I had devoured it within a few hours, finished it on the same day I started it and now I am sat wanting more!

MA Comley just can’t write the books fast enough for me in this series – they are brilliantly addictive

The book was a superb addition to the DI Sara Ramsey series and I had been “patiently” waiting for this one to be released having read all the other books in the series and keen to see what the team would find themselves up against next.

I thought that the book was fantastic. It was so well written, it had a great pace to the story and I loved the plot. It was a book that kept me on my toes and even though it was written slightly different to the others in the series in that you knew who was responsible at the outset there were still a fair few twists to the storyline and plenty to keep me guessing.

The characterisation was great as always and I loved catching up with Sara, Carla and Lorraine as well as the rest of the gang and I loved that DCI Price got more involved in this one too.

It is 5 stars from me for this one, a fabulous addition to the series and I can’t wait for the next one! Very highly recommended and a fantastic story!

What can I say about M A Comley and her latest D I Sara Ramsay book, that I haven't already said in the previous 18 reviews? Literally everything I have already said about this series is still completely and utterly relevant... but possibly needs a multiplier of at least 10 on it, as this book was fantabulous.

From the prologue which really set things up so well, and gives us the reader an insight that it takes the police a long while to work out, to the despicable nature of the murderer, and the action packed finale this is a book that took over my life today, as I was reading it.

I couldn't turn the pages fast enough, I needed to constantly know what has happening and whether Sara and Carla had come up with anything for any of the rapidly rising case count.

It's certainly a tough one for them to solve with very little evidence.

Underlying the action is what is clearly a relevant commentary on the state of various aspects of the UK at the moment including the shocking wait times for ambulances, and also the cost of living crisis, which makes it rather relevant too.

I just couldn't get enough of this fan-dabby-dozie of a book! Brilliant as always, and I'm already looking forward to book 20, and it's not often I will stick with a series for that many books

Thank you to the author for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

DI Sara Ramsey and the team have an intriguing case to solve when a doctor appears to have been run over intentionally and killed. What possible motive could there be for killing someone so well liked?

When another murder occurs, the team are put under intense pressure. With cuts meaning less officers to help, Sara certainly has her work cut out.

Still trying to help her family come together, instead of falling out, Sara and her husband Mark are determined to get everything sorted.

Oh my goodness, what did I just read! I now have a new favourite in the DI Sara Ramsey series.

The plot was outstanding and actually quite scary. Who knows what goes on in people’s minds, especially at a trying time.

A nail biting and tense story, I felt as though my heart was going to burst through my chest!

A plot that makes you sit up and take notice & really think about some of what goes on in people’s lives.

Another brilliantly written book by the amazing MA Comley. This being the 19th Book in the D.I.Ramsey series certainly draws you in straightaway and is gripping. Has lots of twists and turns to keep you guessing.
D.I.Ramsey and her fabulous team are faced with a Son who has been looking after his disabled Mum for many years.
Professional Medical Staff are targeted and even Carla, D.I.Ramseys second in command and very close friend is in danger. The team work very hard to try find clues and follow endless hours of CCTV footage, to get leads. Aswell as all this Sara is trying in her personal life to bring a family member, who's been distant into the family fold.
Loved this fantastic story Line. Thank you MA Comley for another brilliant read.

The latest instalment in the DI Ramsay series and my goodness this book doesn’t disappoint.

A son loses his disabled mother and a killer is on the loose. Members of the medical profession are I danger, including Sara’s close friend. Can Sara, Carla and team find a motive which will lead them to the killer?

A real whirlwind of a story, total page turner. I really don’t know how this author comes up with so many brilliant storylines but I’m so glad she does.

The best yet! Really recommend, can’t wait for the next.

‘Son of the Dead’ was another cracking addition to the DI Ramsey series. After beginning with an emotional scene, the story hits with a serious bang, and it doesn’t let up at all so strap in.

I enjoyed how such current themes were entwined in the story such as government cuts, lack of support for carers and the issues that our NHS staff face every day. Harrowing stuff!

Again, I loved the team dynamics and I have a total soft spot for the witty and wonderful, Lorraine. Fab and heart racing read!

This book will have you wondering why someone is killing medical personnel. You think you know the who but the why is really not coming through. Then again, does a deranged mind really have to make sense. One of the beloved team might even be in danger. Thank you for another great book!

When Sara is called out to an fatal crash she has no idea how far things are going to go.
The thing is it’s now getting closer and closer to those she knows and loves.
Now she’s got to dig and pull to find which way to go next.
Fab! No stopping on this one and a full on nail biter.

Absolutely a great book.

Sara and her team have been working together to solve this mystery. So glad that her boss Price decided to be in on all the last things to get this killer. To bad he didn’t last long enough for him to go to court and be sentenced to life imprisonment. Mel, I enjoyed the book so much. Can’t wait to read more about Sara in your next book. Thanks again.
