ooooooh that finale!!!
The only problem I have with this series is that it goes way too fast.
I mean, I literally "read" it in like 20 minutes?
And yes, I put read between "" because there's so little to read, it's basically just drawings.
They ARE good, don't get me wrong, but considering the actual written part the drawings had to be majestic, but they are just average, good average.
Despite this I can't deny I'm so into the story and I want to know more so badly.
Even if there are only five volumes this was the only series I bought in one shot (except for box sets) 'cos I wanted to have it ready to read at any time!

The quality of this second volume is fairly consistent with the previous, as the story marches along nicely and tosses a couple new kinks into the works to develop the plot. I will say I feel like there was some more usage of darker inks throughout, which gave a couple scenes an unsettling vibe, which I found lacking in the first.
While far from blowing me away or hooking me like a crack addict, with me itching for that next chapter hit NOW, this is different enough from what I've been reading lately and things still have me curious enough to stay on board.

Interessante, la solita velocità dei fatti mi lascia un po' confusa, ma di sicuro la storia funziona. Per ora i personaggi mi sembrano più funzionali alla trama che altro, non ci sono approfondimenti, però in complesso sembra promettente.

And death and hurt continue in this one. The ship is getting emptier and emptier and then it gets to one giant big moment where all the people are gathered, well those that remain. The ones bitten during the ball, or those that escaped that fate. They are all herded, though it seems that most of them don't have a clue what is going on as they are pretty much sheep, vampire magics. Then comes a very gruesome part. The people can be chosen for three things. Pool, dinner, or friend. Now some of those options sound OK, right? Well, Pool is not what you may think, I won't tell you what, but holy hell. And friend, I don't think you want to be one of these monsters. Nope.
Kakeru also plays a big role as the little vampire girl has chosen him as a friend. Welp. We also meet Akari and her family, not all together though. Yuzuru is with the blonde vampire, Akari well... let's not talk about her fate, poor thing, and the dad is also not 100% any more. It was heartbreaking as it seems they aren't that rich and this cruise was supposed to be something amazing, something fun, something relaxing, and then this happens.
There is something that happens near the end of this volume, something involving two characters who have managed to live so far, and wow. Dang, the balls that took.

A luxurious pleasure cruise attracts the attention of families looking to get away on a nice summer vacation on the sea. The ship is glamorous, the food is delightful and the servants are unnaturally beautiful. As guests begin to go missing at an alarming rate, the facade of a peaceful getaway is quickly shattered as blood begins to flow. The ship is being run by inhuman monsters disguised as humans. They have a thirst for blood, a hunger for flesh, an appetite for cruelty and an urge to dominate lesser beings. Stranded in the middle of the sea with nowhere to run and horrifying predators lurking around every corner, the odds are stacked against the poor powerless guests.
This series starts off with a simple yet horrifying premise. Imagine being stranded on a ship with cannibalistic sadists with vampiric powers, the only way out is to jump off the ship and die an even slower death than being killed by these bloodthirsty monsters. The horror is great and there's some awesomely grotesque art that resembles extreme horror movies from the 80's. It's what I imagine a manga created by Richard Laymon would look like.
While the manga starts off great, it really dives off the deep end (no pun intended) in its second half. It goes from being a terrifying paranormal slasher to being... I'm not sure how to describe it. It felt like it suddenly introduced 200 chapters worth of complex concepts that came out of nowhere and tried to cram it into a measly 12 or so chapters. It was extremely rushed, confusing and I didn't understand it all. Unfortunately, this led to an unsatisfying and anticlimactic ending that made no sense.
I enjoyed the first half and I really liked the Victorian horror setting which isn't too common in manga, but the second half and the ending make it hard to recommend.

No more named characters are killed, only several of the other regular passengers and even a few vampires. The main characters are split up and just trying to survive what is thrown at them. Their chances look grim.

Este segundo volumen continúa elevando el nivel de tensión y oscuridad de forma magistral. La historia no da tregua: el ambiente sigue siendo opresivo, los personajes están cada vez más al límite, y la amenaza que los rodea se vuelve aún más cruel y desesperada. La narrativa gráfica se sostiene con un ritmo impecable que sabe cuándo ser explícito y cuándo insinuar, generando ese terror inquietante que se queda en el cuerpo incluso después de cerrar el libro.
Yū Satomi demuestra nuevamente su capacidad para sostener una atmósfera turbia sin perder nunca el control. Hay momentos de violencia explícita y otros de tensión contenida que mantienen el pulso narrativo constante. Este manga no solo se apoya en el horror físico, sino también en lo psicológico, haciendo que el lector se cuestione a cada momento quién logrará salir con vida… o en qué condiciones.
Un segundo volumen sólido, visceral, y visualmente impactante. Si te atrapó el primero, este no hace más que profundizar en el abismo.

Qué truculento que se sigue poniendo todo! La verdad que la historia no decae, se mantiene firme en un mismo hilo.
En este tomo se muestra el destino de los que creo son los principales: la joven Akari, su hermanito Yuzuru y su papá y también Kakeru un joven universitario con un grupo de amigos.
Los pasajeros se van reduciendo en este crucero en una selección muy sádica y sanguinaria. A Kakeru se le muestra lo que hay detrás y quienes son estas personas, los socios.
Hay que seguir con el siguiente para ver cuál es el destino de estos personajes.
Por cierto qué belleza son estas portadas! Realmente me encantan 😍

Le massacre des passagers se poursuit pour le plus grand plaisir (sadique) des invités de marque. Certains seront confrontés à un choix cornélien tandis que d'autres trouveront des manières de fuir et de survivre. Et si l'un d'eux avait découvert comment exterminer cette vermine meurtrière? Un manga d'horreur en mer qui est original dans sa narration en peu de mots, mais qui perd un peu d'intensité à force d'alterner entre les différents personnages principaux.

La verdad, no sé sí la portada me pudo o que me pasó pero este tomo fue mi favorito en cuanto a lo que pasa y en cuanto al diseño de la portad por que es increíblemente preciosa, además que aquí la historia comienza a tener un poco más de sentido y comienza a haber más muertes de las que me imaginaba es bastante interesante y fácil de leer una maravillosa historia de vampiros, muy recomendada.

Una festa sfrenata e la perdità del controllo. Alcuni personaggi rimangono coscenti e ci permetto di seguire la storia. Inizia a venirci spiegato il sistema e il perché di quei gusti particolari. Non essendo un'amante di questo genere non mi sta prendendo. E nemmeno l'elemento suspance è ben gestito, a mio avviso. Vedremo...

In diesem Band wird einiges aufgelöst. Es gibt einige Erklärungen aber noch immer bleibt genügend unklar. Das Ende war wirklich spannend und ich bin gespannt wie es an der Stelle weiter geht. Die Zeichnungen sind weiterhin wirklich gut und sehr blutig. Ich finde aber das sie nicht unnötig schlimm sind. Die Geschichte rund um die Vampire birgt bestimmt noch einiges was es zu entdecken gilt

Si el primero tomo me pareció algo flojo, creo que aquí remonta totalmente. Las piezas se juntaron y la historia avanzó mucho en poco tiempo. Las preguntas del tomo anterior se responden (en su mayoría) y se formulan otras nuevas. Más que intriga, ahora sentí tensión.
El dibujo sigue irregular. Nunca llega a ser malo pero a veces es un poco básico, aunque la violencia está bien lograda.

No se que problema tengo, tiene escenas buenas, tiene personajes preciosos (de hecho me gusta el mayordomo), entiendo todo clarito y aun así siento que algo no cuadra, es este sentimiento de que hay un sin sentido, pero el final de este volumen estuvo bueno.

Es una obra asombrosa, sangrienta y con unas escenas terroríficamente bien hechas.
Y si eres fan de los vampiros es tu obra. Aunque si quieres ir de vacaciones en un crucero, creo que te lo vas a pensar dos veces 🤭
Todos los tomos tienen un ritmo frenético y acojonante.
Pero con el último, sentí que fue a menos y me quedé un poco descolocada.
Con el final de la historia, me esperaba otra cosa, creo que no está totalmente cerrada.
Se merece una secuela o lo que sea… no puedo quedarme así!!
A modo de reflexión diré que 160 paginas por 8,50€ me duelen en el bolsillo y que me dejen con un final tan… en el aire, todavía mas.
Estoy segura de que estos 5 tomos fueron una estrategia, y que pronto sacaran una continuación… tocará seguir rascando el bolsillo?? 🤔

Wow! Questo manga ha attirato la mia attenzione grazie alle meravigliose copertine di ognuno dei 5 volumi.
La trama è horror, con tendenze gore, ed è particolarmente esplicito, splatter e violento, è un genere che deve piacere, e che io personalmente ADORO. Infatti, per i miei gusti, credo sia uno dei migliori che ho letto: la trama è davvero interessante, i personaggi sono tanti e ben caratterizzati, con una buona psicologia che li distingue, i disegni sono davvero belli e soprattutto chiari da interpretare.
Lo consiglio al 100% agli amanti del genere, anche perché la lettura è veloce e piena di colpi di scena e momenti vivi, leggerò sicuramente altre opere dell’autrice 🫶🏻
