Per ora il volume migliore, si inizia a dare una profondità al personaggio di Noah. Nel complesso, non mi sto pentendo di aver iniziato questa serie, da amante del genere. Ma devo ammettere che preferisco horror che abbiano una dimensione psicologica più presente.

We finally get some backstories and it's what I was expecting since V1.
Now that there's only one volume left the problem may be having too little space to wrap everything up properly...

A luxurious pleasure cruise attracts the attention of families looking to get away on a nice summer vacation on the sea. The ship is glamorous, the food is delightful and the servants are unnaturally beautiful. As guests begin to go missing at an alarming rate, the facade of a peaceful getaway is quickly shattered as blood begins to flow. The ship is being run by inhuman monsters disguised as humans. They have a thirst for blood, a hunger for flesh, an appetite for cruelty and an urge to dominate lesser beings. Stranded in the middle of the sea with nowhere to run and horrifying predators lurking around every corner, the odds are stacked against the poor powerless guests.

This series starts off with a simple yet horrifying premise. Imagine being stranded on a ship with cannibalistic sadists with vampiric powers, the only way out is to jump off the ship and die an even slower death than being killed by these bloodthirsty monsters. The horror is great and there's some awesomely grotesque art that resembles extreme horror movies from the 80's. It's what I imagine a manga created by Richard Laymon would look like.

While the manga starts off great, it really dives off the deep end (no pun intended) in its second half. It goes from being a terrifying paranormal slasher to being... I'm not sure how to describe it. It felt like it suddenly introduced 200 chapters worth of complex concepts that came out of nowhere and tried to cram it into a measly 12 or so chapters. It was extremely rushed, confusing and I didn't understand it all. Unfortunately, this led to an unsatisfying and anticlimactic ending that made no sense.

I enjoyed the first half and I really liked the Victorian horror setting which isn't too common in manga, but the second half and the ending make it hard to recommend.

So, wait. Noah is the blond girls's cat? Makes more sense. And her name is Eva. She is the vampre leader's daughter. He is called Kaiser by everyone and he so far has their allegiance thanks to his imposing presence. Eva has taken to Kakeru because he looks like a boy named Michiru whom she befriended many years before.

The Kaiser has to deal with a medical center now filled with dead vampires - Kakeru's doing, but the Kaiser doesn't know yet. Add to this the fact that the ship hit something and may be sinking already. He suspects foul play. Then the younger vampires rebel. He is rapidly losing control.

Akari survived her ordeal from the magic show thanks to the vampire doctor Koichiro and his partner Shane. The two of them wanted to use the kids as test subjects, but now Shane is dead and Koichiro is holding onto dear life after Kakeru's bloodthirsty attack. Akari and Yuzuru are on the run, with the Kaiser's people on their tracks.

Con este cuarto volumen, Noah of the Blood Sea sigue sumergiéndome en una experiencia inquietante y visceral. La historia continúa su descenso a un horror cada vez más desesperado, donde los personajes se enfrentan no solo a amenazas externas, sino también a sus propios límites físicos y psicológicos. La tensión se mantiene firme, con una narración visual que sabe jugar entre lo grotesco y lo sugerente sin perder eficacia.

Este volumen da indicios de que se acerca el clímax, y aunque algunos elementos se sienten un poco más acelerados, la atmósfera turbia sigue siendo uno de los mayores aciertos de Satomi. El equilibrio entre el gore, el suspenso y los dilemas humanos se mantiene muy bien logrado.

📚 En general, esta serie me ha gustado mucho y me ha animado a leer más manga. Tiene una estética única y una crudeza emocional que no esperaba encontrar, y eso la convierte en una lectura muy recomendable para quienes buscan un horror bien ejecutado en este formato.

Volviendo sobre el problema del ritmo en este manga, este tomo nos da casi todo el backstory que necesitabamos. La historia es buena, toma elementos de la Inglaterra victoriana y coqueteando la idea de que Jack el destripador era un vampiro, pero siento que la dosificación de lore es muy densa. Pienso que sería más eficiente si la hubiesen repartido a lo largo de varios tonos. Pero bueno, es lo que hay, tampoco es que sea tediosa, solo que se pudo hacer mejor.

También hay un toque de humor en el manga, eso me gusta, y en este tomo lo vemos en una especie de vampira vegana que discute con su familia jajaja.

Necesito el siguiente tomo ya! Lo bueno de esta serie es que es corta, ya me falta el quinto y listo, pero no sé cuándo lo voy a poder leer 😢

Me gusta mucho el ritmo que tiene toda la serie, en este tomo el crucero choca con algo y si ya las cosas estaban descontrolandose ahora es peor. Están los fieles y hay rangos en cuanto a los vampiros y acá las cosas se van poniendo feas cuando se va perdiendo el control. Los personajes intentan de sobrevivir realmente.

Ci vengono finalmente svelati un po' dei misteri che aleggiavano attorno a Noah e al suo passato, anche se alcune cose rimangono oscure. Confidiamo nel finale. In ogni caso, ho trovato questo numero un po' sottotono rispetto ai precedenti. In particolare, mi ha lasciato la forte sensazione che la mangaka abbia avuto molta fretta, il volume scorre fin troppo velocemente e i disegni sono molto più approssimativi in confronto alle tavole passate.

Dans ce tome, le massacre des vampires se poursuit. On y découvre aussi l'histoire des origines de Noah et du garçon qui a inspiré le tout. La finale se termine sur l'avancée des monstres sur le bateau. Qui sont-ils? D'où viennet-ils? Y a-t-il encore de l'espoir pour les survivants? Ce tome est mieux construit que les précédents. On s'y éparpille moins même si encore beaucoup de points restent à éclaircir.

In diesem Band geht es blutig und grausam weiter. Man erfährt etwas über die Vergangenheit, mit dem Fokus auf Noah. Die Hintergründe finde ich interessant. Sie klären auf jeden Fall ein bisschen was auf. Ich bin auf jeden Fall gespannt wie die Situation auf dem Schiff weiter geht. Die Zeichnungen sind sehr eindrucksvoll.

Demasiada información para tan pocos volúmenes pero la que encontramos aquí es interesante, ahora tiene sentido el porque Noah era tan ensimismada en su mundo y poco comunicativa, cuando lo estaba leyendo y la niña apareció dije en mi cabeza "Solo falta que diga miau" unos recuadros después Noah dijo Miau xD me hizo gracia, este volumen estuvo decente, me gusto, vamos a ver como termina.

Es una obra asombrosa, sangrienta y con unas escenas terroríficamente bien hechas.
Y si eres fan de los vampiros es tu obra. Aunque si quieres ir de vacaciones en un crucero, creo que te lo vas a pensar dos veces 🤭
Todos los tomos tienen un ritmo frenético y acojonante.

Pero con el último, sentí que fue a menos y me quedé un poco descolocada.
Con el final de la historia, me esperaba otra cosa, creo que no está totalmente cerrada.
Se merece una secuela o lo que sea… no puedo quedarme así!!

A modo de reflexión diré que 160 paginas por 8,50€ me duelen en el bolsillo y que me dejen con un final tan… en el aire, todavía mas.
Estoy segura de que estos 5 tomos fueron una estrategia, y que pronto sacaran una continuación… tocará seguir rascando el bolsillo?? 🤔

Wow! Questo manga ha attirato la mia attenzione grazie alle meravigliose copertine di ognuno dei 5 volumi.
La trama è horror, con tendenze gore, ed è particolarmente esplicito, splatter e violento, è un genere che deve piacere, e che io personalmente ADORO. Infatti, per i miei gusti, credo sia uno dei migliori che ho letto: la trama è davvero interessante, i personaggi sono tanti e ben caratterizzati, con una buona psicologia che li distingue, i disegni sono davvero belli e soprattutto chiari da interpretare.
Lo consiglio al 100% agli amanti del genere, anche perché la lettura è veloce e piena di colpi di scena e momenti vivi, leggerò sicuramente altre opere dell’autrice 🫶🏻
