Now retired, Kathy shares her passion for education through children’s literature, inspiring curiosity and wonder in children through her second career as a multi-published author. The idea for The Shell Box came one day when Kathy’s grandchildren visited her at the ocean. Kathy went on a search to find a kid-friendly shell guide, but her quest was unsuccessful. Thus, Kathy decided to create her own, paired with a delightful story to engage young readers. Who doesn't love wandering a beach in search of ocean treasures? In this beautiful story of friendship, a girl and her grandma do just that, identifying shells, searching for the perfect gift from nature. Snowbird grandparents, you need this on your shelf for when the grandkids come to visit. And the best part? There's a tear out shell guide in the back of the book that you can take right to the beach.
