Okay, another storyline that I couldn't stop reading...
I'll catch up on my sleep tonight. Few, if any, spots were sluggish. The charge started shortly into the book and seemingly ran to the very end. Now comes the hardest part, waiting for the next book!

Great read!
I read this one quicker than the last 8 books, it was hard to put down. You're going to really enjoy this one.

I needed a distraction after a serious brain injury, spinal cord injury and subsequent surgery. On a host of meds for the last two months, this series fit the bill for mindless entertainment that was often better than I hoped, but I was pretty hopeless…
If you’re new to sci-fi, YA writing, this is better than most. It’s often quite funny, and for 9 books in two months, along with a host of others, it’s kept me happy. Books don’t always need to be well written so much as they need to meet us where we are. If you’re in a place in your life where this book belongs, this is a lot of fun.

Not engrossing at all
Struggled to stay engaged with this book almost gave up, but as it's book 9, you keep with it hoping it gets better and hoping the next books up a bit
The premise to prove the empress is a fake falls a bit flat, because the proof itself is fake, so any logical person questioning one would question the other
The team get into scrapes, especially Ben, that they only get out of due to someone else's help. Ok thats teamwork, but Ben is supposed to be the saviour
It's good enough to keep with it, but it does need to pick up the pace in the next bpoms

I can't wait for the next chapter.
The story continues to develop at a steady pace. Forbes keeps adding twists and turns that forge Ben into becoming the hero we know he can be. The fact that an any man excels at galactic warfare while still taking time to help his friends makes me want to sign. Thank you for the tale you tell Mr. Forbes.

Okay for Book 9
A little slow getting in to the book but it did pick up. Multiple characters and interactions between them. Unfortunately, I am getting bored by this series. Seems to be taking a never ending approach. It's past time to end it. It's a good read with decent action,but very predictable.

one adventure after and
Wow even though some of the original characters are no longer with team Hondo I appreciated the team work needed to defeat Blorb and his trying to take over the spiral. Great strategy was needed and I am looking forward to the next and hopefully last book in this series

A great next chapter!
This is a great seriees that is light and easy to read. It's a fun balance between ready player one type references or jokes and the classics space opera underdog story. My only complaint is having to wait for the next one.

Seems like a conclusion to me
No good deed goes unpunished. Our hero has to pull a rabbit out of his hat and its never enough. I guess book 10 will find some peace for our heroes but don't hold your breath.

What a great read I've been waiting for this book to come out in the series. I love all the main characters and their interactions with each other. I like all of the Space battles.

There are lots of things that could have happened. Mostly, they did not. One of the things that did happen is Ben and the crew have had their names cieared. Bring on the next chapter!

The exciting adventure continues!
Well it is extremely difficult to keep a series of books exciting, Forbes is able to have me chomping at the bit to find book 10. I'm very glad to have come across the first book and have enjoyed every one of them.

Fears for this series
I have enjoyed each book so far in the series. But I am starting to have a serious concern. If all this series becomes is a fevered dream by the main character, I will be sorely disappointed. Enjoyable read so far.

August 25, 2023Another exceptional book from M.R. Forbes! This series has really been a wild ride for me. The characters are very believable and endearing. The author had done an outstanding job of crafting this story line.

Every installment in this series ratchets the excitement and creativity up at least one more notch! Don't know how many episodes there are but you can bet I'm going to read them all at least once, maybe twice! I hope you read them all, too!!

Excellent
The book, as a whole, is excellent. But, the bit with the guitar was a bit much, even for science fiction. The arc about the cancer brings a foreboding flavor back into the action. Enough. No spoilers.

Absorbing read!
