No matter your season of life as a woman, you long to be loved and appreciated. But perhaps most days you're left feeling unseen, unheard, or unknown.
Though centuries apart from your life today, the women who knew Jesus faced similar fears and insecurities. Their names aren't etched onto the pages of Scripture, but they are etched into the heart of God.
In this book, Paige Allen invites you to take a second look at the life-changing encounters of seven unnamed women who came face-to-face with Jesus in the Bible. Weaving personal stories with timeless biblical truths, Paige shows how just one encounter with the love of Jesus empowers you
· live with an unshakable sense of security and identity · stand confident in the chaos or the silence · trust His goodness whether your hands are empty or full · pursue Him boldly, even in the face of censure
Daughter, you are seen, known, and named by the Creator who breathed the stars into existence--even on the days you feel invisible. This is your invitation to let go of shame and discover the courage, grace, and compassion to live seen and make Him known.
This book has really great points, but it moved off topic on several occasions. I found myself forgetting what the point actually was because of the constant off topic conversations. I understand when we speak to one another, this is typically how we have conversation. BUT in a book, I feel as if it makes things confusing. So much so that I forgot most of the book after reading. I remember the main points though!
It definitely helps with mindset for women to know that the worldly things are always going to get in the way of your spiritual walk. It helps with steering your thoughts back on track with your walk with the lord.
From the first words, I couldn't put the book down. I was inspired and encouraged by Paige 's deep dive into each of the seven nameless women who encountered Jesus and whose lives were radically changed for the better. Paige tackles issues that all women face...insecurity, shame, mistakes and guilt, but she lovingly and through her own experiences with the living Savior, she brings hope for redemption and healing. The writing is so well done and is easy to follow while compelling the reader forward. This book is for ALL women and I highly recommend it.
I can’t wait for you to read this book! Paige gives all of us permission to identify the ways we feel nameless and yet are seen and known. Relevant and widely applicable, this book will have you reflecting on Jesus and the very intimate encounters he longs to have with you.
I guess it's my fault because based on the title of the book I expected something completely different. There were a few good points regatding the women from the Bible but generally -too little Bible, too much self-presentation, in my opinion. The author may be a very good speaker, but she is not a good writer. Unbalanced vocabulary, when she oscillates between slang and very formal language, all within a very short piece of text, was one of the things that brought chaos to the flow of the text. Maybe it felt so because I am not a native speaker of English. Anyways, I did not like it.
I could hardly put down this beautiful story telling that introduced a perspective of Jesus that so impacted me. It was so fun and easy to read - like a fascinating novel but with such beauty Can’t wait for the next book she writes
This is a short book. I read it on audiobook, and it was only about 4-5 hours long. For me, I could knock that out, easy- usually. I could. Not. Stop. Crying. I can’t even tell you why. Even when I wasn’t anywhere near my period anymore, I just couldn’t stop. Any time I picked the book up, I was basically in tears within five minutes or so. I didn’t stay in crying mode the entire 5 hours, but it was still so much more crying than I am used to, so I had to read it in 30 minute increments on average and space it out over some days.
I liked the author’s voice for the narration, I liked her style of reading, I liked her message(s), I really just liked it all. My favorite things that I took from it was the meaning behind the title of this book, that if you draw near to Jesus enough, Satan will give up and leave you alone, prayer changes things, faith changes things, I have a voice and an influence that the author encourages to take charge of by authority of Him, and God’s love for me is as follows: He calls me daughter.
Thank you Paige, I feel like this book was meant for me. <3
Read through this book with a small group of women, and each new chapter we discussed together opened marvelous opportunities for each woman to share real-life experiences. The stories and laughter we shared together were just so beautiful. I personally enjoyed journaling my own responses to each chapter, putting myself in the author's shoes, even her daughter's boots as she walked down the aisle as a flower girl. I keep approaching each new season of life as if I'm that flower girl, hearing the Lord saying, "Look at you, you're getting to live out your dreams with Me (Your Heavenly Father) by your side! I've got your hand, and I know your name. Lean back and trust me! --Jesus"
He Knows Your Name came at a meaningful time for me. 2025 has been a terrific year for my spiritual growth, and I’ve had both the time and mental space to explore a wide range of genres—especially Christian-based books.
As part of a women’s Bible study for allied medical professionals, I found much of this book to be encouraging and uplifting. It offers positive, faith-filled messages that will resonate with many women and believers. Some of the author’s stories felt a bit stretched for me, while others were deeply relevant and impactful.
It’s a quick read, but there are several powerful moments that linger. Overall, this is a thoughtful and inspirational book, particularly for those seeking encouragement in their faith journey.
This is a very good book for women who feel the disrespect of family, friends and the world. Using the unnamed women of the New Testament, Paige Allen shows up that God sees us, hears us and gives us dignity. I recommend this book.
I absolutely loved this book, it was amazing! I didn’t want it to end. I can’t wait to share it with all the women in my family and share the wisdom Paige shares in her beautifully written words.
