Study of Gamma-ray Polarization using Clover detector: Clover Detector-A new generation semiconductor detector

Rate this book
This book deals with the details of the new generation Clover Detector which will be useful to extract information about gamma rays emitted from the excited Co-60 and Eu-152 source in the laboratory. The method of Compton suppression using the co-incidence technique in order to reduce the noise in the spectra and the add-back feature of the clover detector and its efficiency are lucidly discussed in the text. The polarisation method in order to get information about the electric/magnetic nature of the gamma rays emitted from the radioactive source is also discussed.
