At its heart, the text addresses the idea that all story is born out of a broken relationship with God.  Fundamentally it suggests story is a purposeful and meaningful encounter with God for the writer and hopefully at some level for a reader or viewer of fictional stories. This screenwriting book is a guide for writers to explore the wonder of their own story and how their own life informs stories they want to tell.
