When I first started reading the screenplays I had trouble visualizing the activity going on. I soon realized this was due to a history of reading plays for the theater and had never thought of reading screenplays for moving pictures. Unfortunately the four screenplays that make up this book all ran along the same theme and main plot. Strong woman, silly man, shenanigans ensue, it all works out and they end up together. One of the best Bond novels I read had him not get the girl in the end. The last two plays end with a deus ex machina twist so that everything works out in the end. Some of the dialog is tiresome. A teenager who says like to often and in places where it doesn't fit. Russian villains that would make more sense 20 years ago. And a gay black man who starts one too many sentences with girlfriend. I think I found Hot Potato to be my favorite of the four. An interesting read and a good way to study screenplays. I think it would be interesting to use for a class so they could discuss the dialog, scenes, and gags.

It was fun to read screenplays and imagine then as seeing a real movie. Each story was unique on it's own, and all were fun reads.
