A large format book with photos and text about Lady Gaga. I only read the first third of this book, interested in Gaga's early life in New York, but this is good book for anyone who is a big fan and wants to know all about her.

I have the same kind of relationship with Lady Gaga that I have with Taylor Swift. Each has some songs I really like (Gaga - Born that Way, Bad Romance, Poker Face, etc; Swift - Love Story, All Too Well, Look What You Made Me Do, etc.), but I don't like either well enough to own any of their CDs, to download any of their songs, or to attend any of their concerts. However I have watched concert videos of them and probably will again, and I also wish them the best in making music and in life.

I think this biography/coffee table book is a collector's item. This book consists of more highlights than actual detailed information about Lady Gaga. The pictures are nice however and will be a good coffee table book.

I picked this up at the library out of curiousity, as I love big coffee table style books. This is an large, eye catching book with beautiful, colorful photographs of Lady Gaga and her trip up and through fame. I didn't read the whole thing, per say, as I'm not really sure it's meant to be read, really. It's definitely art in and of itself, but with Lady Gaga, that is to be expected. The thing that bothered me is although it is about her and her life, the book spends much of its pages talking about other people that have influenced her in life. There will be a huge picture of her and Madonna, for instance, and then there will be a large two page spread on Madonna's career and really, it's just a Wikipedia entry - very glossed over and almost pitiful. I suppose I had a hard time with the book comparing Lady Gaga to such icons as Freddy Mercury, Elton John, and Madonna when throughout the book she shouts about her being an original but yet somehow used these other people as springboards for her looks, style, etc.. Don't get me wrong, I think Lady Gaga is incredible. But, I'm not sure she can plop herself in the midst of the rest of the heavyweights in a book about herself just quite yet. If she took out all the others, this book would not be what it is - I'm not enirely sure that is the point the book intended. Seems a bit pretentious to me. This book should really be called "Influences on Gaga" not "Gaga."

This book is really amazing, it does give considerably accurate facts and biography about what I really know about Gaga, Johnny also never failed to add a bit of details about it. But what I really want to see in this book is the surprise or never before heard facts that little monster like me would like to know. Some of the pictures are rare but there are also big pictures that I've seen already in my 4 years of being Gaga's monster. I also love the fact that it gives a page for Gaga's inspirations such as Warhol, Madonna, Lauper, and McQueen. These pages give a huge amount of additional information about how Gaga become Gaga.

As a true little monster, I wanted to show that Gaga is a really good role model that innovates herself and inspires other to be brave. And these book really gave justice to what I want it to be, It gives quotable quotes that others may relate. It also doesn't leave readers confused because it gave enough background to Gaga's life. Though I want it to be bigger and thicker. Pictures are amazing too! really.. When I say it's amazing, It really is. So for all Gaga's monsters, this thing is for you, but for those who are not but really want a piece of Gaga's, This book still deserve a place in your shelve.

New for the holidays comes an account of the career to date of one Lady Gaga. "Gaga" by Johnny Morgan (Sterling) is the first and most appropriate chronicle to date of the comet-like singer, performer who has captivated the world's attention with her outrageous music, couture and persona. Her early days, her ascendancy and the full extent of her head-spinning appearances are all documented here in a fashion that respects fashion in it's edgy, artful approach. Her intersections on art, music and fashion - with everyone from The large format book is exemplary in its juxtaposition of art, text, layout and photographs covering the short but explosive career of the artist. With through sourcing of interviews and stills, Gaga's message, both verbal and fashion-based, is in full effect with a book that is (finally) in sync with the style and performance of the singer herself.

A solid biography detailing Gaga's early beginnings, rise to fame, and career up until The Fame Monster era. The information is accurate (as far as a crazy Gaga fan such as myself can tell) and is full of photographs and interesting quotes from the lady herself. It's a high quality hardcover full of glossy pages that are both visually appealing and enjoyable to read.

It is an odd combination of coffee table book and biography, but _Gaga_ does work. The photographs are outstanding and they are matched by solid commentary and quotations from Gaga. There is some good attention to Andy Warhol and - appropriately - Cyndi Lauper.

This is another photo installation that tells a separate story because there is more insight and valuable information about the LADY called GAGA. I did read the first few pages (like I normally do...)! So looking forward to sit and feast my eyes on each page.....yes! xx

I read this one mostly for the photos. I like Gaga and shamelessly dance to her music a lot but I don't think she's a super special amazing ground breaking artist. But I do love her style.
