Saturation Evangelism

Rate this book
In-depth analysis of various evangelistic methods around the world. Dr. Peters prefaces his work with a discussion of evangelism according to the biblical definition and then explains carefully what is meant by "saturation evangelism." A four-year study of the "Evangelism-in-Depth" campaigns in Latin America and "New Life For All" campaigns in Nigeria form the basis for Dr. Peters'[ observations. From these he draws up six principles for effective evangelism. He concludes with a discussion of household evangelism, group movements and multiple conversions.

I read this book for my doctoral research. I doubt I would have finished it otherwise. The book is written in the 1960’s and thoroughly entrenched in Christendom thinking. Ellul’s critique of “technique” is very apropos. A great reminder that we are all products of our age and blind to our cultural biases.
