Dr. Leman's book about sex and marriage covers a broad spectrum of topics. I would say it covers everything from newly wed concerns to those of an aging couple with stops at infidelity and porn in between.
Each topic is laid out with an opening and closing with ready questions and answers in between. I liked the format.
Content was more applicable in some cases than others. Read this as a reminder on what I should be doing as a good wife. It met it's goal and was a good, quick read.
It gives different insights of what men and women need in a loving long term relationship. Provides many different insights and situations that helps one understand themselves and their partners.. Enables readers to reflect and understand what are the reasons behind strains in relationships and how to overcome such hurdles together, especially when it comes to intimacy between husband and wife..
I bought this self-help novel soon after my marriage and really enjoyed the advice and questions posed to Leman. A good resource for first-time newlyweds or couples of any age.
I had read this as a newly married Christian woman and it was "just like every other book" i had read: unhelpful You want real advice? Read "the vagina bible"
This book is not as good as Leman's book "Sheet Music." This book is a brief explanation of each chapter topic, then a bunch of question and answers. It is like reading an advice column in book form.
There were good things talked about. And I think it is important for married couples to talk about sex often, to make sure that they are on the same page. Marriage is something that you must constantly work on to make sure that both partners and fulfilled and secure.
A little stereotypical, but not in the way you're probably thinking. A little redundant. Some chapters are okay to skim through if you're not in that, ahem, situation. Good advice and should definitely be read by both spouses.
Great book to read for single or married couple. It has broaden my perspective about my marriage, what to expect n what to say. And of course it answers my questions on sex.
A great book for any marriage. Some great reminders and suggestions. It also helps you remember that you aren't alone in some of your situations-- others have been there as well.
