In 1897, Andrew and his father join thousands of other people headed for the Klondike goldfields in Canada. The book also provides information on the Klondike Gold Rush and the rise of the town of Dawson.
This children's book (ages 9-11) is illustrated and contains archival photographs and drawings. It also includes bolded vocabulary words with a glossary.
Children will be able to identify with the young, main character and learn about an important event in American history at the same time.
