Mystery + hockey rink?...What a strange combo but somehow it works. Slow start but good ending that you will not see coming.

I won this book from Goodreads.
There are 2 deaths; a female ice hockey player and a male ice hockey coach of women players. How are they connected? Why are they dead? How can Savage actually make me care? I know NOTHING about ice hockey, but I couldn't stop reading. What a cool book! I haven't said that in a long time. I like this Dave Davecki detective.
Some of this book is too cold for me to read without a jacket. A lengthy part had me wanting to put shoes on my bare feet. I need a flashlight! Now I need a wet towel! YUCK! Where's some disinfectant? Mike Savage is sooo ...good with his descriptions. Oxygen?
LORD OF THE RINKS is a fresh, thoroughly enjoyable read with no lame moments bogging it down. No one or nothing is what it appears to be - and I was guessing right up to the end.
I want to read another Dave Davecki mystery.
