Having a one of these golden furry babies myself, I found this quite charming. It's not heavy on information but it does have some interesting facts and quirks about the breed 🐾

This book is cute, has nice pictures but didn't give me a whole lot of insight overall. I would read a chapter heading and thing "yes, I have always wanted to know why my Golden does that". The info in that chapter could really refer to dogs of any breed though...not specifically Golden Retrievers. If you were new at owning dogs in general, I think this book might really answer some questions for you. Still an enjoyable book. :)
