I probably bought this back in the late 1980s and must have read it several times over the years but I did not record when. I think this was the second volume which I bought and I remember buying it at a reduced price as although new it was a bit battered.
As in the earlier volumes this contains copies of the Sunday pages with Sappo at the top of each page and Popeye below. Interestingly for a short period the Sappo strip was reduced in size and the Popeye strip increased in size. Popeye's cast of characters got bigger with the addition of the Jeep, Toar and Popeye's father. Sadly Segar was dying at this stage and their are gaps in the continuity as this volume does not reprint the Sunday pages which Segar was too ill to create himself. However despite his illness Segar kept his sense of humour right up to the end.
