I began to read this book not long after it was released, but didn't finish it until I started again from the beginning earlier this year - not through lack of interest in the book back then: more through it being too painful to go on with. I over-identify with and pretty much idolise McRae-McMahon - I've met her a couple of times and had dinner with her (and others) once (or possibly twice) and I will almost automatically purchase any book she writes at full price.
