Spiritual insights on the life of Moses from some of today's leading Christian communicators. This encourages you to reflect on the significance of Moses' life and to consider what we can learn from his story.
To be honest, this is not the first time I have read this book. It is just the first time I have recorded it on my Goodreads page and reviewed it. I first happened across this book purely by happenstance way back in 1998. I found it amongst a bunch of items that had been donated to a local church in MPLS where I was serving at the time. I had loved the DreamWorks movie, "The Prince of Egypt," and thought the premise for the book sounded intriguing. So glad I made that initial decision to take it home because the book has been one that I have revisited numerous times over the years since. Filled with inspiration and encouragement the book is a powerful and practical exploration of the life of Moses. Drawing from both the movie and the Biblical texts, the various authors challenge and motivate throughout the pages, reminding us of all the many valuable lessons to be gleaned and applied from the life of this incredible figure. Every time I read it I come away better for the investment of my time and energy. Highly, highly recommend it!
What a good combination of Authors. Yancey, Lucado, Mawell, Hayfor, Joni E. Tada, Barnett,Wells & Boa who I have never read before. I so enjoy when authors take the life from Scripture and remind us that God never changes that He is still the same for us today in our own story. We live as Moses with our God who protects us. Is 54:17
This book is a compilation of books about various prophets and rulers who were used by God to teach the nations of Israel and Judah. In some cases God's participation doesn't seem to be right as in the case of the sacrifice of Isaac by his father. Because of his faith, we all have learned. This book works well for individual devotions or a group study.
a very refreshing look at the life of Moses from several great writers. The different perspectives encompassed the entire life of a great biblical and historic figure.
This book was GREAT in the beginning and got a little repetitive at the end. I LOVED the movie the Prince of Egypt and want to go watch it again! I recommend it to all!
