This is a very short book, read it in about an hour or so. There was small grammatical errors but were hardly noticeable. Each section was a specific "wife", however it was also more about the events that occurred during the specific time that the prophet SAW was married to that particular woman. I would have liked more information on the women themselves, but for the cheap price it was worth it. I was disappointed on how much was written about Zaynab bint Khuzaymah, although the author mentioned that not much is known about her. Pretty decent book if you are looking for just a little information about each wife, but not enough to be fully versed and knowledgeable about the wives.

This was a short and good book, however it was not what I expected. I expected to learn more in depth about each wife’s live, and about their qualities. This book was more about what was happening in the Prophet (sal allahu alayhi wa salam)’s life when he got married to them.

I enjoyed it very much. A hot topic many shy away from, only because they don't know the truth. There's a lot to be learnt from these amazing women. Clearly a standout book and food for thought for anybody thinking that these women, or any Muslim woman that followed them, were oppressed because of Islam. The Prophet Muhammad (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) never married more women for his own desires, which is the general belief of today, in this misogynistic and twisted world. He married and made it permissable to help the widowed and divorced, which is a mercy for any woman to accept, after such hurt. These women after facing torment from their tribes because they were divorced, on their own, some with children, nothing to feed them with, some having their husband's murdered during war battle's. He was the best of men, he never abused his role. Many young, beautiful, and rich proposed to him, but he declined. He could have had any but he chose not to. There was only one wife who was neither a widow or divorcee. This book slightly covers the beautiful character of our Prophet, along with his wives. It also includes Quran and hadith. I loved getting to know them, some REAL role model's for the girl's of today. A must read.

A short and interesting summary of the lives of each of the wives of Islam's prophet, Muhammad. It is interesting to see each wife and the reason behind her marriage to him, political ties, her piousness, etc...

It's definitely written in a biased format, as many religious books are. I don't think it was over-the-top though, and would recommend this as a quick and easy read.

Read as book 27 of the 2014 50 Book Challenge.

I enjoyed reading this book. The only thing that would have made this book much better, in my opinion, is if it had sources. There are no references for the quotes and I'm the type of person who always wants to check sources. :)
