I have the honour of having translated this book from Spanish to English. The stories woven in it are quite dark, yet the darkness resides inwards, for these stories propel the reader to the darkmost palavers with that thing with call humanity. Written in a very clinical and dry prose, Avalanche (my title in English) is a book of women and how they are seen when faced with issues ranging from sex to matrimony, insanity, obsessions, female slavery, the traffic of kids and terrorism.
